Wonder if someone could clarify the following.
There is some strangeness regarding some of the domains granted by Shoanti Totem Spirits.
Clerical Shoanti shamans worship their clan’s totems, which are typically of neutral alignment and grant domains as noted in the descriptions of each quah. The favored weapon ofShoanti totems is either the klar or the longbow.
1. The Sklar-Quah totem does not include the Sun domain. One might think this a given, for "The Sun Clan"
2. There is no mention of Desna worship in the section on the Lyrune-Quah, even this is included on page 9 and page 30 (see the legend of Tanjah). Fairly minor, I know, but my understanding is that these sorts of companion pieces are intended to be both player and DM aids, as well as sources of general campaign knowledge. Were I to give this section to a PC, there is nothing to indicate that Desna worship is somewhat (un)common among the Lyrune-Quah.
3.The Skoan-Quah Boneslayers described on pages 30-31 have the Strength and Sun Domains. This is not consistent with the information presented in the Skoan-Quah entry on page pg.72.
I realize that Boneslayers are "warriors who patrol Shoanti burial mounds and are trained from an early age to be particularly effective against the undead" but there is nothing, other than the stat block on pages 30-31 to indicate that Boneslayers worship something other than the Clan totem. Do Boneslayers worship something else, or are the Clan Totems "guides and not rules"?
I know a cleric can just pick domains, which I suspect is going on here, but this seems to break with the flavor of the "Shoanti Shamans" article. In my home campaign, I'll probably replace the domains given to the Boneslayers with Protection and Repose, which should (somewhat) maintain the anti-undead / warrior aspect of the Boneslayers.
