I belong to a D&D yahoo messagegroup with 3000 subscribers. It is generally quite chatty.
4E has been out for 2 weeks now, and the ONLY 2 posts in regards to 4E have been one person indicating that his are "in the mail and he's looking forward to it" and the other announcing the "rules updates" (already?) for 4E.
I've been interested in reading peoples' testimonies and stories on there - many of whom I've come to know quite well over the years and value their opinions and ideas - but NO one is talking about it. no one is complaining....but No one is praising it either. When the announcement first came out about 4E happening, it created a malestorm on there that lasted a couple weeks with hundreds of posts a day. But now that it's here, I can't believe the lack of support it's getting on there.
It makes me wonder how many (or how few) are actually playing it!

Maybe they're not posting because they're all too busy playing 4e ;).
All the time.
Every day.
I wouldn't be surprised to find that many of them are in the same boat as my group: Finishing up our last 3.5 game before trying 4e. After I run KotS, I'll be demoing Pathfinder for them.

Hey, I'm playing 4E! See my full report here.
I've joined two 4e games in the psat week, which is 2 more than then number of 3rd edition games I've been able to find in the last year.
I've been having a blast in both of them.
I'm currently Running 2 games of 4th Ed and playing in another...
however I run the same adventure for both groups...
Group 1 is the my Test Players
Group 2 allows me to refine what I run..
Group 3 I'm a Halfling Rogue Currently 3rd Level.
I'm starting to organize a 4e group that will probably begin playing in late August (real life stuff is getting in the way right now). I'll probably be recruiting some players from outside my previous group in the near future; I don't think it will be a problem finding them.
Playing in one 4E game,DMing another, playing in PbP. Not too shabby.
I'd love to find a 4e game to play in, but sadly there is no DnD seemingly being played in my area.
I'm DMing a group of Paizo Pathfinder characters through the Savage Tide online, so that's all the DnD I get these days.
It could be they realize how bad 4E is and how it's not truly D&D anymore and are too shameful to admit it so they stay quiet to save face.
I will be posting my campaign report over on Gleemax, though I imagine if you are anti-4e you will not likely go there to read it.
But so far I love it.
