I picked up Classic Monsters Revisited at BN a couple of weeks ago. My kids gave me a BN gift card for Father's Day and the Pathfinder Gazetteer is going on my next order from their website... I've got to train them (or their mother anyway) to visit Paizo online to give Paizo the business directly. But, it is nice to browse quality stuff and pick it up immediately...

Walden assistant manager here, I got PF1 and 8 in stock. PF1 comes with the player's guide. :)
Huh. That PF1/Player's Guide bundle was something we did especially for military PXs last August. We knew that was distributed incorrectly, but this is the first I heard of them showing up at retail....

So,I'm at the Local Barns & Noble a few days ago, and what do I see on the shelf? Pathfinder's Clasic Monsters Revisited! Awesome! I had thought It was only Borders that was carying Pathfinder? (Even though the one local doesn't.)
Good to hear, I'm going to check out my local one to see what's there.

My local gaming store subscribes to the theory that if it ain't WOTC it's crap and rarely carries 3rd party materials. So increasingly I am having to resort to online to buy 3rd party books.
If B&N is going to support Paizo then my $$ will be going to them (or Paizo.com) from now on (no other chain bookstores in town).

*shrugs*
It is indeed the Military pack. Diamond sent it to us. It's the only version we can order at store level, and funnily enough whoever entered it into the system named it "Patherfinder."

An attitude probably propagated by the first 2 years of 3.0 where most of the 3rd party offers were crap.

Man, that sucks. If you're in northern Illinois, Games Plus and Tomorrow is Yesterday are pretty solid game stores. If not... ...well, I feel for you.

...Tomorrow is Yesterday
Ah my old stomping grounds. Now-a-days I live in Northern Indiana, and I was pleased to see Pathfinder at my local B&N too - just a few blocks away from my FLGS, which carries Pathfinder also!

Quite a lot of those went missing last year, and we didn't even get paid for some of them; your post has helped us place an inquiry. Thanks much!

We just got a couple of copies of Classic Monsters Revisited at my B&N. I slapped prestwood (the kind you can remove without damaging the book) EAS tags in them immediately. If anyone wants those suckers, they need to BUY them. I'll not have people stealing from Paizo on MY watch!
Well, thanks!

In fact, I was in the process of writing that inquiry email when Vic had to go and post on this thread, thus making my RSS reader light up, making me check the new feed, and delaying said inquiry.
So...I blame Vic. /nod
