Alternative way to fight IronBriar- help appreciated!

Rise of the Runelords

Spoiler:

Ok,last session the party I DM landed from a ship trip from Sandpoint to Magimar. I used a sugestion I found in this board and had them arrested as they entered the city, because there was a reward being offered about info on the seven pointed symbol--and one PC had one in her possession (a ship mate npc turned her in).

The party is drug before Ironbriar, and the do-gooder knight tells him everything they know, and what they are doing in Magnimar.

The party then goes to Foxglove's townhouse (with Ironbriar's blessing lol) and find more than the 2 original cultists there. They discover the cache, leger etc, and since its Oathday, they decide to send the rogue to hide under the stairs and wait for the "meeting". A lackey shows, sits on the stairs for 2 hours cursing Foxglove (the lackey is such a lowbee in the organization that he does not know of Foxglove's death) then heads to the bar/brothel. The Rogue finds him in the bar, and lures him out (as Aldern using a Hat of Disguise) and then the party jumps him. The lackey reveals that he collects 200 gp from Foxglove, pockets 50gp and ties the rest in an oilcloath bag and hangs it into the water off the lighthouse.

The party stalks the area for two day but noone shows up for the money (since the 7 know Foxglove is dead).

The party wanders to the temple (where they are staying) without any real clue how to proceed-and convinced they can trust noone in Magimar.

The question is,how do I get them to get back to the sawmill to fight Ironbriar? I love the mechanics of the fight there -but I do not feel they will go back on their own.

And, I guess if I can't get them back to the millwhat happens and where can they confront Ironbriar?

Any random thoughts and/or help appreciated.

:)

In your campaign, what happened to Tsuto? If he wasn't killed and was sent to Magnimar for trial, you could use him. There has been some good ideas on these boards for Ironbriar getting Tsuto free and enlisting his help. Have Tsuto follow or attack the party and retreat to the sawmill.

Yes, I have read those and Tsuto was kiled in the glassworks by the campaign-I might just have to use another npc to lure them in a like manner.

You said that there more than the initial two cultists there. Xanesha has five faceless stalkers available to her; how many of them are still alive in your campaign? They could easily lure the party into a trap (possibly even as Aldern or Tsuto--sure the PCs think those guys are dead, but c'mon this is D&D!).

Did the posts in the ledger found in the townhouse not make them curious? Thats how my PCs found the sawmill.

Good idea about the faceless from X. And yes the posts brought them there - they just didnt enter.
