I have been in 17 time zones in the last two months so bare with me if these have been covered.
1. How in Sarenrae's name did Kyra get on the WotC homepage ??
See the right hand corner of the whirling devrish at http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/welcome
Thats mad sneak skills !!
2. Who did Lord Vader choke and promote Mike McArtor to full editor ?
Huzzah Mike ! It must have been your stint as a Zombie Epic side trek author that put you over the top.

Lol.. yes I noticed that awhile ago. She's a cover girl from one of the Eberron books, Shadows of the Last War. She's actually holding a double bladed weapon.. you just don't see it.

Vader wasn't involved, see Lisa and Mike have been replaced by doppleganger doubles who know that Paizo will rule the RPG industry come June. :)
Hmmm ... I'm not seeing it - is this on the main page?
She's in the background, you can only see her if you're screen resolution is bigger then the default size that the Wizards web gurus designed to design it for. Unlike the Paizo website whose website looks the same on all computers, Wizards.com doesn't scale for people using monitor resolutions greater then 800x600.

Ah, thanks man, I see it if I go to full screen.
There certainly is a resemblance ... WAR did most of the Eberron cover art too, didn't he?

What SirU said because the OP's tech kungfu is weak.

And a lot of interior art too. Check out his website (google it) to see the work he's done for wizards and paizo.

There is more than a passing resemblance, check out small details like the jewelry around the wrist bracers, the utility pouches on her belt, or the type of mesh on her armour.
WAR got a Paizo iconic as a double agent right through Wizards noses.
Hmm maybe that's why Mike got the promotion.
Nah it was his stint as a zombie.

I think Wayne just liked her design and had her do double duty.
It's funny that the book she appears on is written by Keith Baker (creator of Eberron) and he's now working on Pathfinder. Maybe it's insidious!

See !!
It's the same brilliance you can find in Pathfinder's Guide to Korvosa. Oh, and please do not attempt to tear out the postermap; instead, leave the map as is and carefully get a second copy of the guide and cut out the map from your second copy.
