In the secrets section of Guide to Korvosa it states

Spoiler:
that the burial place of Sorshen, Runelord of Lust, is in one of the vaults beneath Castle Korvosa
.

However, in the Thassilon article in Pathfinder # 1 (Burnt Offerings), it states that modern site of Korvosa was

Spoiler:
the location of one of the other Thassilonian sub-nations (the domain of Gluttony, if i remember correctly, though I don't have the book handy at the moment).

So I'm curious if anyone has noticed this discrepancy, assuming that it is one. Anyone from Paizo care to comment on whether or not this was a ret-con or if the situation is just unclear because of the limited info that has been released on this era so far?

Ha ha! Oops.

Spoiler:

Korvosa is built atop the ruins of Sorshen's capital city and Castle Korvosa is built atop her tomb.

Yeah; it's a ret-con. When we did the article on Thassilon, we didnt' have a world map. We had a vague idea of where we wanted the empire of Thassilon to fall, but without a world map, it was tough to nail things down, so we made our best guesses. You've encountered one of the places where we didn't quite get it right...

Spoiler:
Korvosa is indeed built over the ruins of Sorshen's city. Much of her nation encompassed what is now the Mushfens and the ocean south of the Mushfens; the majority of her nation is now underwater.

Cool, thanks for the info guys.

This world is definitely turning out to be pretty cool, can't wait to get my paws on the gazetteer and later the Campaign Guide.

Holding onto some of that outdated info could dovetail nicely into a "Facts" About Thassilon sidebar.

Clarification in the hardcover might be nice, if it hasn't been dealt with already either there or elsewhere. It might be useful to make clear that this information 'corrects' that in Pathfinder #1, to save readers of future sources looking for this thread in future.

Edit:
Um, on second thoughts, that's already too late for the first print-run of the Guide to Korvosa. Oh well; at least you correct your Runelords PDFs.
