Hold a Subscription?

Scarab Sages

Hi,

I have a slightly odd request. I love my Pathfinder subscription and don't want to cancel it. However, I'm going to be moving several times in the course of this summer, and I'm afraid that the physical copies might get lost in the shuffle and/or end up at the wrong place at the wrong time.

So what I'm asking is: would it be possible to put my subscription "on hold"? I'd keep paying for them monthly, but just don't ship them. Then ship them all in, say, September? That way, even if I'm not getting the physical copies, I'll still have the PDFs in the mean time, and I know the physical copies won't get lost in transit.

I know this is a lot to ask, but I'd really like to keep the subscription up. Thanks!

Unfortunately, no, we cannot hold your subscription as stated. The granting of the PDF is tied completely to the shipment of the book, so if the book does not ship, the PDF will not made available.

We can certainly suspend your subscription for a period of time. Any volumes that are released during the period of suspension can be shipped to you in one big shipment afterwards. There will be no shipments or charges during the period of suspension. This also means that the PDFs will not become available until afterwards, as well.

Alternatively, you can keep ahead of your subscription by changing your mailing address whenever necessary on your My Subscriptions page.

Just let me know how you would like to proceed.

Thanks,
cos

At the risk of offering unsolicited advice...

I spent close to 21 years in the Navy and often had similar periods between duty stations, without an address, etc.

During those times, I found it useful to change my address to my parents or my in-laws house. That was often better than having it held or possibly misdirected.

Perhaps there is a relative or very close friend you could have them sent to? someone you know you'll see in the near future?

In fact, this looks like exactly what I'll do.

Cosmo, thanks for your help. I'll change the address to have my subscription sent to relatives until I have a more permanent address.

Thanks all!

Excellent!

And thank you, Bob, for providing a great solution!
