Return to the Catacombs of Wrath?

Rise of the Runelords

Scarab Sages

I'm only about to start The Skinshaw Murders and I haven't read all of it yet, but I recall seeing somewhere a mention that the AP sends to PCs back to the catacombs at some point post Burnt Offerings. Is that true, and if so can someone point me to where in the AP that is?

It's not until the beginning of #5, Sins of the Saviors.

Thanks much! My players' adventure to the catacombs had them so pissed that they want to hire masons to demolish the runewell, which I now see is used again (for flavor) later in the AP. Hmm what to do, what to do?

Hum, have those lazy bums decide they're not paid enough to demolish a powerful magical fountain, brick the wall and claim to have done the job as requested?

If you're worried their deception skills are lacking, have them report that to their boss, and the boss won't have to use deception to convince the players.

I don't think it will actually matter. Fundamentally its a new level too the dungeon. If the PCs have totally blocked off access through the Catacombs themselves they might end up kicking themselves since they have blocked the best way of gaining access. However they have not blocked the only way of gaining access. The sinkhole itself is a way for PCs to enter and egress from the new lower level of the Catacombs.
