A BLOODY SACK
They followed the wet red trail into the cave tunnel. Janek the Sworder paused and knelt close to the wall with the burning torch he was carrying.
"Not good. Looks like they stopped to beat him against the wall here." Janek got up and moved on. The rest of the search party paused to look at the bloody stain on the stone surface as they passed.
DM BRIEFING: As the PCs begin to explore a Cave they encounter a blody trail which can only bee from a body being dragged in a sack. Somewhere ahead of them is some poor soul being brutalized.
