My Desperate and the Brave Game, currently in progress could use one or two more players.
The game is a combination of Hollow's Last Hope and Crown of the Kobold King. New players would be introduced as hunters who are after a dangerous beast that has been killing local animals.

Newbies are fine :) So long as you think you can post at least once a day or more.
Characters can be standard SRD or Alpha rules.
See At the Sitting Duck for more details about the town and environs.
The party is currently in the wilds, but as I said, there is a dangerous, possibly supernatural beast preying upon local livestock and tracks always lead into the woods.
Yup, that shouldn't be a problem. Only minor hitch might be that I'm UK based, so I'm not sure how timezones will be with other people. In the worst case with timezones, I can definitely post at least once a day in any case.
I'm just catching up on the thread now - I'll see what I can come up with character wise today.

If anyone is thinking about it, I would encourage you to jump on this. I play in Wicht's RotRL game, and with him as a player in another, and it's good fun. He's great with NPCs and creating memorable images, and he keeps things moving. If I wasn't already overextended in PbP, I'd do this in a heartbeat.

That's great. You're in. Same as above. Both new players will be considered to be working together at the beginning. 1st level characters and both will level up when the rest of the party levels.
I'm not one to tell people what classes they have to play so pick whatever seems fun to you.
I've read through the discussion thread and I'm partway through the pbp thread now. My first thoughts are that I'd like to play a druid. :) I'll post later in the discussion thread when I've worked out some more details.
where can i find the alpha character rules... i'm not familiar with them and curiosity has the better of me.

I prefer to have access to the books, or else have approval over feats. I also prefer standard classes. But if you have a specific book, feat or class in mind, then feel free to ask. As for the complete books, the only one I own is Warrior.
