Spray them with lilac bodywash.
Practice in a mirror to ensure your fake smile looks gently sincere as you coo, "Sweety, fantasy always meant so much to me but I lucked out because you've always been my greatest fantasy. It seems only right you should have some fantasy of your own."
As you hand them to her surreptitiously move to protect your kneeable orbs, just in case.
Should you somehow survive the moment, just borrow them back as the need arises.

Thank god I'm not married. Because you reminded me of those miniatures. If only the shipping wasn't so expensive.
If you want a package consisting of non-book products to ship for less money, add in enough books to outweigh the non-books (without going over 4 pounds internationally or 15 pounds domestically), and you'll find the shipping cost will go down. (I know it sounds nuts, but that makes the package qualify for Bound Printer Matter rates, which are cheaper.)

Thanks for the condolences. Luckily for me she works 7pm - 7am so I still get the bed. :) It is my own fault. I saw the mini's on backorder and figured I would place the order today. Little did I know backorder was secret paizo warehouse talk for ship them out ASAP.
20 minutes of back rubbing will make her forget all about it. ;)

The Pathfinder Advantage is 15% off suggested retail, not 30%. (30% is the subscriber discount off cover price of the Adventure Path.)

My wife's a gamer too, though less serious about it than I am. It's not usually too hard to get her to let me buys stuff, but I've never been one for minis, either.
Last time I counted, I've done almost 300 minis. They take up most of one wall in our living room. The joy of having a wife that's a hard core gamer and no kids.

I’m incredibly lucky in that my wife is generally very cool about things like this. I don’t tend to spend a lot of money on myself to begin with, I’m typically up front about it (in a respect way, not in a permission way), and the way she sees it, my main entertainment areas are the computer(s) and the D&D subscriptions, so it’s not like I’m blowing cash on anything else.
Now, when the covers arrive with whores all over them or the adventures are tortureporn bloodbaths, that crap gets me a talk (so frickin’ cut it out)!

And this conveniently increases the amoung of money you get ;-P
Now where is that product weight chart I need?
The fun part about this: I looked into stuff from online game stores that are around here (no international shipping), and their prices aren't really better (since they don't offer 15%, tend to translate the price from dollar to euro 1:1, and often have inflated shipping costs themselves).
I'll have to look into it, maybe I find a nice book or two (and maybe those books are enough)

Yep, my fault. I was looking at the discount on the PF AP.

Hey, we have a wall like that.(I lost count of actual number. We've filled up about a dozen cases from the hardware store usually used for storing nuts and bolts and other small stuff like that.) And we have a four year old. The challenge was teaching him that those are mommy and daddy's toys and he was not allowed to play with them. :)

I had to smile over this thread. As I forget that my hubby's subscription comes out every month and it always seems to come out when there is little money in the account and I always bi**h about it. So on that note maybe I will have to order him something cool just to makeup for my random rants towards him. THANKS GUYS!! (I am sure the hubby will thank you as well)

I have a double garage FULL of crap (mini's, RPGs, Cards, Star Wars Figues, Books, Lego). I did have a room, but since the arrival of our second child I have been relegated out of the house (which is just as well, since it was hard to move in there anyway). Now I am "lucky" to have a shelf and a small cupboard at my workstation where I can keep my D&D stuff and believe me I had to fight for that!
I have been waiting for the "how the f@#k much are you spending on this sh!t for a while now, but luckily the closest I have come was the other day, when my last order arrived (PF#7, CotCT PG, J3 Crucible of Chaos, Guide to Korvosa, RotRL Map Folio & Northwest Smith), she said "gee you get alot of packages lately".

Take the more common minis, use them to teach the kids to play mini game. Tell her that:
a) You are teaching the kids about math from counting squares.
b) You are spending quality time with the kids while she gets to take a bath.
c) The more expensive minis can be used by the kids at some point in the future (Cows do not yet fly, therefore it is a future event)
Voila! Minis with no (or less) pain.

KaeYoss, http://www.dragonworld.de/ is a nice german online store with cool prices. A friend of mine orders all his stuff there.
