I seem to have a similiar problem: I wanted to post to the thread "get rid of SR" in the pathfinder alpha feedback forum, the post did not seem to get to the board due to server overload, and now the whole thread is gone. My post shows up if I use the search function with SR as keyword in this subforum, but not on the board and not at my recent posts page.
I think the server overload I experience these days is the cause for these hiccups.

A cleric alignment thread vanished from the Pathfinder Alpha Play Test board as well.
I don't mind that it did, but it does make me recall that there were going to be notifications.
Specifically I am unrepentant if it was suppressed. That was no way to speak to someone I invited to this community to participate in the playtest. There was such a hue and cry about moderation a week ago, but some people don't seem to realize that the price of being unmoderated is that they speak to each other with the respect they'd like to receive in return.

There's no suppression going on -- we haven't suppressed a single post since the first day of cleansing of the 4th edition forum.
What we have is simply our messageboards melting down under more traffic than I think we've ever seen before.
That's okay. I just couldn't find it under my recent posts, or that of some other posters who were in that thread.
Really, I don't care if you ever find it.

Really, I don't care if you ever find it.
I'm not asking you to go into details, but I didn't get to see the thread. (I haven't had the time to read the Alpha PDF fully, so haven't jumped into any discussions yet.)
Was it that bad? I find it difficult to believe. I am not calling you a liar. But it stuns me.

Not really bad, because the poster is a personal friend of mine it probably cheesed me off more than my reaction is probably worth.
My friend pointed out that something he read could be misinterpretated. That he had actually misunderstood it himself, and a few extra words might make it clearer. And the guy is pretty logical and really intelligent
Another poster came on and basically said the rules was perfectly well written and it was an invalid concern.
My friend maintained it was confusing to him, and a Paizo regular chimed in that they agreed the grammer was a little off and pontentially confusing.. and a few words would clarify it.
The aggressive poster came back with an attack, said it was all nonsense, and there were a great many more important things to be concerned about. Then the aggressive poster provided some analogy that was just absurd and disproportionate to the conversation. There was a final snarky last sentence that read something like, Come back when you have something real to post about. A statement that basically calls the other person stupid in a passive aggressive manner.
In the end, it wasn't that big of a deal. My friend is a big boy and can take care of himself. Message boards are prone to this sort of thing, and blah blah blah with every other weak excuse for not acting like an adult.. However, when I invite people join this community, to read the Alpha Rules, and get involved- I expect better. These are people who invite me in their homes, and give me the excuse I have to buy Paizo products. These are people considering buying Paizo products themselves, and were considering participtaing in the playtest. These are my friends, and I won't look away because somebody feels like they have to stick out their chest.
Maybe the problem wasn't that big of an issue, but why not let Jason Bulmahn make that call and just move on? Why the posturing and the judgement on another playtester?
But let me clarify, it was NOT the whole community, it was just one guy.
Now I've explained, and I'd like to let the matter drop.

You feeling alright Watcher?
Your posts are reading a bit snippy to me. It isn't like you. Can I help?
They were pretty snippy, and I do apologize. To you, the community, and so on.
I was probably kinda tired today. The Alpha also came out at a time when I was swamped at work, so I haven't had as much time as I'd like to read up and comment and that bums me out. I'd love to be playtesting it some more, but my friends have some concerns with the rules... and it might be a while before we have a version that really grabs them.
Having one of them start off on the wrong foot with a poster who doesn't mince words when it comes to telling someone they're wrong, really didn't help that either. (And it wasn't the obvious one. :) )
Also, this could be a sign of the real person coming out. I do get inpatient sometimes, like other board personalities. Some time ago I made a decision that I didn't want to be jerk, and I try to live by that.. but keeping your cool can be hard work sometimes. I guess that's why forgiveness is important.
Anyway, I appreciate the concern. I'll watch my own attitude as well everybody else's. :)

Oh, I'm not asking for that. Just wondering on your state of "being."
Your posts have been reading as if you have been worn down for a while now, and the couple I read from today seemed to me that you were close to snapping. Just thought I would check on you.
Hmmm...
Maybe I'll take the rest of weekend off from the boards then. I have my regular game on this Saturday, so it's not like I don't have some Paizo material to look over. :)
It's easy to get too invested and lose perspective if you don't take a break.
This first Alpha wave has been amazing. I almost want to point out that we don't have to solve everything before the GSL ships. ;-) But I'm sure the momentum will choke back shortly...
Night! Maybe I'll see tomorrow.
