I am a Pathfinder subscriber. Am I right in believing that I get a discount on items in the store because of it, or am I misremembering?
The reason I ask is because nothing I put in my cart (Guide to Korvosa) will add the discount.
Thanks
To the best of my knowledge you should be getting the discount, but it won't actually show up until you go through the checkout process and get to the last page before placing the order. I'll double check my info, though and see if I can find a link to verify this.
Edit: OK, what it says here is this:
Beginning March 10, 2008, Pathfinder Adventure Path subscribers receive the Pathfinder Advantage: 15% off of suggested retail price of all products on paizo.com (with the exception of non-Paizo PDFs). This 15% discount even applies to other Paizo subscriptions that aren't normally discounted! (If you already subscribe to these products, you need do nothingappropriate discounts will be applied automatically.) With the Pathfinder Advantage, you can save on over 20,000 gaming products in the paizo.com store.
The Pathfinder Advantage does not stack with other subscription or sale discounts. This means that if a product is already on sale for 10% off of suggested retail, you'll get an extra 5% off. (Of course, if a product is already on sale for 50% off, you'll still get 50% off.) To qualify for the Pathfinder Advantage, the most recent volume of the Pathfinder Adventure Path must have been shipped to you, or must be waiting to ship with your other subscription products. The Pathfinder Advantage discount will automatically be applied to all new paizo.com orders as long as you remain an active subscriber.
It doesn't mention where you see the discount, but I believe Vic mentioned that it shows up on the last checkout page before you actual order in one of the forum threads (sorry, not going to dig through them all to find it. :P)

I've just subscribed to both the adventure paths and modules. I've completed the order, but the module subscription doesn't seem to have been discounted at all. Is it because I bought them both together?
I don't work for Paizo, so I can't dig into your account and look things up. But this sounds like it might just be an issue of timing.
To qualify for the Pathfinder Advantage, the most recent volume of the Pathfinder Adventure Path must have been shipped to you, or must be waiting to ship with your other subscription products.
Since you have to wait for the first PF volume to ship, it may be waiting for that order to start through the processing sequence. Check your accounts page here and look for a sidecart section in the right column. It should have your upcoming items along with an estimated price for them. If that doesn't have the discounted price, either Vic or Cosmo can probably shed more light on it. :)
But this is all just guess work, since I haven't received a shipment that should include the discount yet either (haven't placed an order since it went into effect, and my last subscription order went out prior to it.)

Mishi,
Yes. It is because you bought them together. The discount goes into effect after your first volume ships. This means that your first Module, since it is shipping with your first Pathfinder, will not be discounted. But all future Modules, and orders, will be discounted after this first shipment, which should go out in 3 to 6 business days at most.
Thanks,
cos
