I've been kicking around ideas in my head for random Golarion adventures, and I thought a little adventure involving an adherent to some evil deity spreading a general sense of fear and dread across a town as an act of devotion to his deity would be a neat idea. However, I've encountered a stumbling block as to what evil deity has a portfolio that syncs up with the whole idea of Fear.
Lamashtu seems close, but misses the mark as a god of true fear (for me at least), as her version of terror is more a sort of twisted madness and rampaging mutant creatures than an insidious, unknowable fear... Rovagug, unknowable as he is, is out as he is more about unstoppable, inhuman destruction than anything. Norgorber seems more interested in swift, silent death and whatever gains it will get you, so I'm not sure he would be interested in the idea of fear. I could be wrong, as not much has been said about him. Urgathoa is probably out, though not much is known about her besides the fact that she sponsors evil undeath cults...
So that leaves Asmodeus and Zon-Kuthon... Z-K might be into spreading fear, what with his whole darkness schtic... However, he might be the least known of the evil deities by Pathfinder fans (I can't think of one reference to him in any module yet...). Asmodeus seems like he could use fear in order to scare mortals into following his idea of order, so he's a possibility...
Anyways, sorry for rambling. The whole point of this thread was to ask if anyone has any ideas for gods of fear, or if the Paizo guys know of a god of fear (or if one of the "Pantheon of Many" espouses fear as an ideal).
Zon-Kuthon seems to fit best for me - and would it be an issue to go with a deity about whom not much is known yet? Gives you more room to move...

Hmm... I do think Zon-Kuthon might fit with what I am going for. The fear could be a foreboding sense of possible loss... Perhaps Z-K's adherent spreads this fear not just through magical manipulation of the populace's minds, but also through the theft/destruction of priceless heirlooms... That would add the possibility that others (possibly some no-good Sczarni) are working with the Z-K priest.
Zon-Kuthon is absolutely your best bet of the core 20 if you're looking for a god of fear.
