And....small recap from the main barracks room,...
There's a door on the north wall, 10 feet to the east of the secret door from the rotgrub room you all haven't been in.
There's the stairway up to the murderholed door.
And, nobody ever searched the main barracks room for secret doors, unless I overlooked it or there was a disappearing post.
I think it's only fair for me to give you guys a recap, since this damn thread goes so fast and little details get buried, and my own DM-style can be scatterbrained at times.

I don't know much of anything about masonry whatsoever...so...
Riese can see through the crack that there's a brickwork wall effacing the room herein, then an inner space about 50 cm wide between this brick facing and an outer wall of drymasonry that presumably buttresses against the outer ground. In that inner space, there's reinforcing concrete and/or grainy rock dumped in there. That cockroach could be anywhere in this space, cruising around. Gettin' in little cockroach adventures.
caveat: if any of this doesn't make sense from a design standpoint, that has more to do with my personal ignorance than with some mysterious structural design. This room isn't designed to channel Zool's energy or anything like that.
In any event, a secret door does not exist where Riese is looking.

I was doing the Alchemist's room first then gonna work backwards, you just saved me some posts.
I knew it would take one with my superior perception to find this.. Guys, there's another secret door on the south wall of the barracks room, 15 feet from the western wall. You can see how the wall has a faint outline and the dust on the floor is slightly disturbed in this region. Someone like to check it out for traps?

Opening the door, there's a switchback enclosed staircase, drops for 20 feet then curves around a corner. You hear the ocean's surf, smell the ocean from here.
You can hear somebody playing a simple shanty tune on a squeezebox somewhere.
Listen dc 10:
I gotta crash. I'm beat.
Becton of Pelor
Becton doesn't hear anything. Listen (1d20+4=5)
He tries to follow the "silent squad", and decides it's better to wait - the plate armor makes sound like he's banging a collection of pots together. Move Silently (1d20+1-6=2)
Harvak passes gas silently 1d20+2=17
"Whew! Somebody needs to layoff the onions for awhile."
dungeonmaster heathy
A few people so far have made a spot of noise...
Listen check 0: the squeezebox stops, 10 seconds after Becton's clunky armor bangs up against something, and Gittik dropped something clanky.
Listen check 10:
Listen check 15:
Another male voice: "hope he lift thoose gigglers thar in the harnted mansion...Hoy don't highly appreciate them."
Becton of Pelor
Becton hears the whole conversation very clearly, inspite of his clanking:Listen (1d20+4=24)
Keeping his voice low:
"Sounds like they know we are here. But I don't think they know it's us...I hear a couple of voices talking about keeping busy and such...maybe they think we are someone they are expecting to come down."
"Also...I get the impression that one of them is still above in the mansion somewhere..."
I'll repeat conversation...per spoilers, if it helps clarify things.

Riese is with the sneaky guys....1d20 5=13
*whispering to the group*I got some fire for them if we need it....and some ice....
What are we gonna do, move in and catch 'em unaware? They are part a group that killed that Chosen of Pelor, that means they are of cruel intent and foul hearts in my book.

Elgan Dreadwood
Won't bother posting my Listen and Silent checks, they were that bad. Not that it matters with everyone else in the group as well! :)
Catching the whiff of fresh air and sea spray on the draft of the open door, Elgan crowds forward, bumping into Becton and causing his armor to rattle against the wall.
"Sorry Chere'," HE mutters as they both find their balance. Then he shifts back into a sleek black panther, and begins to wind his way between the others, careful to keep his tail high and out from under people's feet!
He will stay in cat-form for now, trying to hide in shadows, and hopefully get a surprise attack on the pirates before they see him!
Elgan's Hide check for moving down stairs: (1d20 2=6)
AND he is obviously standing directly under someone's light source! ;P

"Why you say two times, Iron Rabbit S%!%? One time listen to you bad enough."
"But me want to kill something, show Jane me tough man, and me no kill nothing yet."
Altai Iscarni
Alyai hasn't even followed the group down the corridor, as he though that would be reserved for the "sneaky" party members. However, as the party crashes through the passageway like a bull through a china store, he decides that even he can't do any worse than his friends. After cocking his crossbow, he carefully makes his way down the tunnel.
"You know, Gittik, killing isn't what will make the fair Jane admire you - looting is. Take it easy."
