Interesting. I didn't see this coming. I guess that's why Games Workshop folded up Black Industries' rpg department. They're giving FFG the go ahead. Good move on FFGs part, avoid all this 4E D&D nonsense. FFG now has the Dark Heresy RPG. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it.

interesting
I can't wait to see how this turns out. I have some things from FFG, though it's all D20 related.
I've taken a real liking to Dark heresy ever since we played the demo adventure. Today I bought the rulebook, which is a feat in itself because Dark Heresy appears to be sold out everywhere!

Yesterday we played some more Dark Heresy. This time I GM-ed, I ran the acolytes of cell 3HA-5454C through a gauntlet of space pirates and a chase across an asteroid belt. We ended the session with the acolytes aboard their recaptured, battered and hopelessy drifting in space cargo lander while the pirates are preparing to destroy them. The acolyte guardsman will try to jump from one spaceship to another and battle the lone servitor gunner to prevent this.
So fun stuff all around I think.

Hey Darkjoy, wanna take a stab at gming a Dark Heresy PBP here?
I've got no experience doing a pbp, and worse I don't have the time for it. Besides, I hail from Europe so I guess that could be a problem timezone-wise.
Truthfully, I think I am better at the table, doing my thing and together with my usual crew spinning a fun tale. But I appreciate the offer.

I've got an original 1980s GW copy of Warrior Knights, that FFG recently re-launched.
Can anyone confirm what rules changes they made to the current edition (if any)?
I realise we had been playing the Assembly voting all wrong; giving each Baron a dwindling, expendable number of votes, whereas the rules state they get the same number of votes replenished between each item on the agenda. I still think our way was better, and made more sense.

Oh, yeah; and can anyone describe the rules-engine of Dark Heresy?
Well all I can tell you it is d10 oriented.
You throw d100 to determine if you succeed and every degree of success gets you something extra.
Actually, in a strange way it is not all that different from 3e. Atleast that is the feeling I get after playing and GM-ing 3 sessions. I am actually pretty excited about this game, I am going through a DnD slump, and Dark Heresy and its wicked critical tables are very exciting and fun.
For a further feel I would like to recommend both of the free adventures that are available, for further gaming information.

Not to mention Talisman Expansions- Huzzah!
What they need to bring back next is Blood Royale- great game.
I still have Blood Royale, virtually in mint condition (not played too often). This is a great game, its just hard to find someone to play it with. My 11 year old is kinda interested, he's just into Battlelore and Tide of Iron at the moment (so am I, for that matter!)
