The End

Shackled City Adventure Path

We finished our campaign this weekend. It has been one of the longest we have played sofar, lasting over three and a half years. But also very fulfilling, and one my players enjoyed immensely.

I have tweaked some adventures beyond recogntion. And those turned out to be my favorites. I loved the heroes feast in flood season, the invasion of redgorge, the party at house rhiavadi and the many (many) meetings of the council of nobles.

One of the best things, as a GM has been the ability to toss around ideas on this forum. Feedback has been absolutely amazing, and it has been great to see others expand even further on my ideas.

Now, I've got a 3 month break from GMming coming up. That will give me time to prepare for my next campaign: Savage Tide!

Dark Archive

Excellent! Please share some of the "out-of-book" things you did. I love adding that stuff to my own SCAP campaign that I am running right now.

I ran the entire SCAP once before when it first came out in the magazines and nothing beats the epic feel of that final session. I can remember one of my players having to just sit down and not move for awhile after it ended because it was the most fun he had with a PC in a long time.

May your NPCs and characters live on as legends forever!

Congrats. Sounds like your campaign took as long as mine probably will. We are approaching the end of the first year, and we will probably be done Zenith Trajectory.

I must thank you for the input you have put into this board. It has inspired me and allowed me to improve my campaign immensely. I will probably be following in your footsteps toward Savage Tide, so I look forward to seeing you on those boards as time progresses.

Enjoy your own "downtime". You earned it!

Congrats. At the rate I'm going, I should be finished with my campaign by the end of this summer. I've already started a monthly Rise of the Runelords game with a brand new group (including my SCAP players), which I devote all my time to once I'm done with this Adventure Path.

Enjoy your break from GMing. I love the thrill of reading up on a new campaign. It gives me an opportunity to try out new things in a new setting and to not make the same mistakes I made from all the other campaigns I've run.

Congratulations.

I love this campaign, and I will certainly have a third go at it... perhaps this time, it will be finished... who knows?

Grand Lodge

My party is trying to escape in Foundation of Flame, and I'll be ending it with Thirteen Cages. It's been a bit rushed, seeing as I had to fit it into a 12 month deployment (later extended to 15, which actually has given us time to wrap up), but we've enjoyed it. I'd say we did fairly well with our conflicted schedule and the shifting player roster. I can't wait to run it again now that I've read the great ideas here, and hopefully will have the time to do them all justice next time.

one can hope :)

I'm pretty luckey with my group. We've been playing together for over 12 years now and are very good friends. Our first and longest campaign ended about 3 years ago. We only play about once a month, distance and real life being the biggest obstacles.

Grats! Do you think you'll shift to 4E for Savage Tide?

No, absolutely not. Savage tide was designed with 3rd edition rules and monsters in mind. converting would be a lot of work. I would rather spend that time creating my own expansions and side-treks.
