While someone has brought the subject up, I’d like to make a comment on the Big Game Hunter feat from the RotRL Player’s Guide. It’s pretty powerful, and it bugs me a little that the bad guys don’t get something similar... so here I present:
RUNT KILLER
You are experienced in fighting the pesky, rat-like creatures (humanoids!) that infest your home.
Prerequisite: Large or bigger size
Benefit : You gain a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 bonus on weapon damage rolls against Medium or smaller creatures.
Here’s hoping it’ll be “officially” adopted by Paizo… (and it would be nice to be credited if it is!). :-)

RUNT KILLER [RBDM]
You are experienced in fighting the pesky, rat-like creatures (humanoids!) that infest your home.
Prerequisite: Large or bigger size, rat-bastard dungeon master
Benefit: You gain a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +2 bonus on weapon damage rolls against Medium or smaller creatures.
Normal: You get plenty damage anyway, with bigger weapons and higher strength, and there's the whole "player characters must be lucky all the time, monsters only once" thing going for you. But fairplay is for wusses
Special: Powergaming munchkins that play a large race may not make use of this feat, even if they play with a rat-bastard DM
Fixed it for you ;P

I just wanted to confirm that these bonus feats aren't free feats. These are optional feats that a player character can select from (assuming they meet the criteria) as one of their normal feats, correct?
That's left up to the individual GM. My preference is that they're bonus feats; rewards to players who come up with a backstory that fits nicely into the region. The pregenerated PCs we present in the back of Pathfinder each have one bonus feat selected from the new feats in the Player's Guide, as well.
But the final say as to if they're bonus feats lies with the GM.

They don't really hurt the game if you give them as free feats. It's kind of universally accepted that one of the flaws of 3E was most classes didn't get enough feats.
