Can't get my shipping choice to stick

Hey gang,

So, I keep trying to upgrade my Pathfinder shipping option, because waiting sucks. I want it sent UPS ground (the $6.69 option), and I keep trying to set it to that, but every time I check back in My Subscriptions, it has reverted to the bas USPS package service.

Can you guys make that choice stick?

Sometimes the code can be a little stubborn. Occasionally it requires a little... "external motivation"... to get it to change it's mind. Fortunately, I know a guy who is good at... *ahem* motivating... and together we convinced your subscription to behave appropriately.

Let me know if your sub ever requires any more "reminders".

So, I just got an email saying Pathfinder #5 was getting ready to ship, and it listed my shipping option as the cheap one. And checking back in My Subscriptions, I see it has reverted back there as well.

I, too, cannot get my shipping choice to stick! Have tried again today, and won't work. Wanted USPS Priority Mail, $6.33.

Can you make my shipping option behave also? And if you do make it behave, does that mean Pathfinder #5 will be shipped Priority Mail as I previously attempted?

I did receive the email confirmation of Pathfinder #5 with the correct shipping. However, when I checked back at my subscriptions page, it says it will ship "USPS package service" for $3.92.

Guess I'll wait to see what my card gets charged (either $3.92 or $6.33). Whatever you can do, or need to do, to ensure the correct, faster shipping, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that I have set your subscription to hold onto the shipping method, but I'm starting to think that this is coming from some larger bug in the system.

I have turned your subscription over to the Great Eye for review.

At least I can be sure that your Pathfinder #5 will be shipping correctly.

I seem to be experiencing the opposite. The My Subscriptions page shows the correct shipping option, UPS Ground, but the order itself reads as shipping via USPS. I switched to UPS because my first issue of Pathfinder arrived damaged via USPS due to poor handling; I decided I would rather spend a little extra to ensure safer shipping. Please tell me it's not too late to remedy this.

Also, I don't know if it's linked, but every time I added a new subscription to my account, shipping was automatically switched to USPS; I had to change it back to UPS Ground afterwards.

My original shipping option is once/month. USPS 3-10 day.

Right now it is set to UPS Ground, and there is NOT the option to set it to USPS 3-10 day. huh??????

Is it because I have the Pathfinder Chronicles—Item Cards: Rise of the Runelords Deck as one of the waiting items?

It may simply not have changed yet, but my order summary (#855929) still shows that it will ship via USPS.

I apologize for having missed your post yesterday.

The USPS 3-10 day shipping rate is for Bound Printed Matter and with the Item Cards in the package, it is not eligible for this rate. The order is set to ship via UPS Ground because this is the shipping method set for both of the subscriptions.

Is this the shipping method you want, or did you need to change this?

No apology necessary. This shipping method is fine. I just wanted to make sure that it was because of the Item Cards. The only question that have is, will it default back to the USPS 3-10 days when it is only Bound Printed Matter?

My account's acting up again. My most recent order, #872984, shows that it will ship via USPS again. I checked my subscriptions, and UPS Ground is still shown as my selected shipping option, so I have no idea what's going on. I haven't modified my subscription in any way since the last order (which ended up being shipped USPS anyway, despite an email, a phone call, and forum posts to remedy the situation; I still have not received that shipment, and dread the condition it's going to be in upon arrival).

I had a problem with my payment method for Pathfinder #6. I just fixed that problem, and the system said it would send out my order as soon as the payment was processed.

Unfortunately, it also reverted back to standard USPS shipping, instead of the choice I keep trying to switch to, UPS Ground. Can you fix that before the order goes out?

I got a problem with shipping methods as well:

I can only select either USPS First Class Mail ($17,46) or USPS Priority Mail ($26,70), but not the option I previously had (USPS Package Service or something like that, priced as $6,86).

I'd like to go back to the cheapest method, I don't mind waiting long to get my things, I get the .pdf fast enough.

I also cannot get mine to stick. I have tried many times (I have another thread on this that you haven't found) - I want my Pathfinder to be UPS 1 day shipping but since all the new subscriptions (Chronicles and Planet Stories) it has not stuck. I tried combining them for awhile but then I fell way down in the queue and I don't want that.

So, please force mine into submission too.

My shipping choice for Pathfinder is also reverting to USPS Standard again, which I do not want. I have tried to change it back to UPS Ground, but it will not stick. Please apply the pimp-hand to it.

Ugh...

Current thinking is that there is some manner of bug that is resetting your shipping whenever you look at it. I'm not kidding. It appears that the act of logging into your "My Subscriptions" page is resetting the shipping method on your Pathfinder subscription. At least that was how we were able to reproduce the bug.

Gary is now looking at your subscription, and it should be fixed soon.

Despite being (most likely) a different bug than that effecting the rest of the posters in this thread, my recommendation is the same. Feel free to check your "My Subscriptions" page as you will, but wait until you get the "Shipping Soon" email and see what the shipping is at that point. If it is still incorrect, let me know and I will fix it directly on the order itself.
