When converting Freezemaw to Pathfinder did anyone increase his age from Old to Ancient so he would make the CR15 listed for him in the adventure or did you leave him at old?
Basically what did you go with, the listed age, or the listed CR?

Whenever I convert anything, I usually go by the listed CR. Otherwise the challenge will be less than it was supposed to be. However, if you feel that blizzard and wall of ice would make the encounter too hard, you could easily accomplish the same end-CR-result by adding some class levels to an old white dragon.
I also ran him as an Ancient CR 15 White Dragon. Was the first fight they retreated from in the whole AP so far. By far one of the best fights between rounds one and two.
I could also see making him Very Old and adding the advanced template to keep CR15.

Thanks for the suggestions. The biggest bonus with Freezemaw being ancient is that the Ancient white dragon is already stated up.

It's been a year now, but since I'm running this encounter next thursday I'm curious to hear how it went.
I plan to upgrade Freezemaw's size to Gargantuan, but keep him Ancient; a well-fed ancient dragon so to speak.
tactics:
freezemaw starts in the air, hidden in clouds.
Freezemaw dives down at the PC's who are still messing with the stone heads
His frightful presence kicks in, but the PC's will think the stone heads are up to something
surprise round: Freezemaw bombs down on the party using Crush; save Bite attack for an attack of opportunity, try to use Snatch;
round 1 crush damage to party 4d6+25 = 39. Bite and Snatch; Tail slap any unscathed PC
round 2 fly a half circle with snatched PC, breathe on all
round 3 fly up, drop PC. Also, Freezemaw will discover that they all have rings of feather fall, and use round 4 to tail hit a home run with the now helplessly falling PC. ouch.
From there on, I intend to stick to flyby snatch and breathe tactics.

In increased his age. Very quick, very messy fight with no PC fatalities due to some serious good luck on their part. And a cleric who was annoyingly decisive compared to the rest of the group.
