They are.

Liberty's Edge

I saw it on The Young and The Natives.

At least they aren't as revolting as the peasants.

Did you ever see the episode of Johnny Quest where Race Bannon paints himself purple and presents himself as "God" to an Amazonian tribe? And then proceeds to verbally abuse them, calling them "you dirty savages" and telling them they have to worship Jesus? I think they deleted the scene from the DVD collection.

Are you kidding? That is... Oh my God that's funny. I'm not usually a gullible person, so if you are pulling my leg, BRAVO. I just. . . that is so horrifying/funny.

Sheesh, I'm not sure if i'm happy that is deleted or if that should be spread as cultural document...bit like the couple of early Tintin books are kept in print for sake of completism and document of its time even if they are hugely embarrassing and offensive...

Verbal abuse and proselytization nothwithstanding, it must have been cool, because Race Bannon is the epitome of cool.

His name is Race, for Pete's sake! And it doesn't get any cooler than that.

I would so worship a purple god. Especially if it was Race Bannon.

Just sayin'.

I remember that episode. He used some kind of berries to color himself purple and then the color wouldn't wash off. My favorite is still the one with the old dude in the wheel chair with the pet Pterodactyl named Turu. He he...

Kill Turu! KILL!

Liberty's Edge

Y'all see the Venture Brothers wit' Race Bannon?

The Exchange

Sim sim, Salabim!
The natives are feckless!
The votives are reckless!
The voters are neckless!

That's it. Seems like they may have censored something after he first comes out of the water. Either that, or clumsy voice synching.

Those Po-Ho are devils!

They did. Apparently, the subtitles are supposed to be intact (though not enabled for that sample, sadly).
