I'll try to get mine finished up today, or tomorrow at the latest. It's been a busy week, and now I find there's 31 new countries to distract me...
;)
I understand very much the word "deadline."
Haven't had a chance to read all of the submissions. But has anyone submitted a country ruled by vampires, where the populace is held in thrall as a ready blood supply?

I haven't read all of the submissions yet either. I just keep obsessively checking to see if any new comments have been posted about my entry. I think there is one undead entry, but don't know if it's vampires or what.
Was that going to be your submission?

I wish I had the time. Lawyering takes up most of time unfortunately. Seems a lot of people have problems that need the assistance of lawyers.
But that idea is not very original. That is the premise of Rifts' Vampire Kingdoms.
I was just curious.
An idea for country is one based on the premise that the country is fighting an eternal war against an implacable foe such that the entire society has become one big army. Perhaps, the thaumaturgist leaders of the country delved too much into the planes and opened a gate to the demon realms they could not close... a couple of books I've read has this premise. Nothing pumps up testosterone than an epic last stand.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. What submissions? is there a contest?

Falcon's Hollow is a frontier town and it attracts a lot of adventurers, mercenaries, rogues and other misfits. Tis quite natural for newcomers to meet each other at a bar, inn or general store.
Perhaps, your characters have already worked together on some other job then split up then decided to get together again in Falcon's Hollow, ala Dragonlance. Guys, what you think?

That's good. Maybe, though, our ancestors knew each other, many decades ago, and we have learned this and decided to meet up...
...Naaaaah...

Why yes, there is a contest. It's a little thing called RPG Superstar, as in the "RPG Superstar Top 32" after my name. I suggest going there and placing your vote for my country, Iskandria. :)
Sorry for the thread-jack, Radavel.

I'm up for the standard meeting in a bar or inn, since in my background I just arrived in Falcon's Hollow. Also, at 1st level, it doesn't seem believable (to me) that we've already worked together.
You had me at god-kings :D
Glad ya liked it. :)

I have always loved designing worlds--and I have one that i really like--and I missed this!
All these times I hear about a 'contest', and I assume it's something unimportant!
Oh well. I am too sad to really examine the others, but SargonX, yours looked good. I voted for it. i only wish I could've put up my own submission...
Oh well. No use crying over spilled yak milk.

Yep. I think that, assuming that nobody woukld mind the 'cliche', we just meet up in a bar.
...as long as we can avoid......A KOBOLD, HALFLING, DWARF AND GNOME WALK INTO A BAR...

The funny thing is, I didn't call you a halfling. I called you a human. The 'halfling' part was accurate. Remember Quince?
Err... no, whom should I remember? I never met someone named Quince.
And calling me human! That's a shame... for humans!

You have made a certain Quince Darkivy, halfling sorcerer, very, very mad.

Please proceed to the Game Thread.
Now to nurse this f@#$ing hangover. Don't drink and write PBP intros. It is hazardous to your health.
Oh! Please excuse the cliche, i.e. meeting at an inn again. New year's Resolution: I promise to be more original. :D

That's fine. We did ask for a cliche, anyways.

Radavel, Girther may be on the verge of doing something stupid, rash, illegal and at least slightly violent. I don't want to hijack the story line so drop me hint if I should simmer him back down. ^_^
What are you planning that I should be worried about? Put it in a spoiler.
Edit: Now I see it. How about challenging him to a game of mig-a-mug-tug or knivesies. Just got a very good description of the game from Nick Logue. You may wanna check that out... its under the gamemastery modules discussion board under the heading "Knivesies & Mig-a-Mug-tug."

Just wanted to ask: everyone here above 18 years old?
Falcon's Hollow is a rough frontier town with some very decadent and evil people. Hence, the perverse practice you have observed at the Sitting Duck. There are other practices in other places in Falcon's Hollow's that equal or exceed this. Hence, if this is not your cup of tea, please advise me. I don't wanna offend anyone.
If you do not object, I would also like to know that.

I have no problem with the mature content.

Sadly, I am far beyond 18 years, but I have no problems with any "mature" content.
Unless it involves halflings and "squealing like a pig," in which case I am STRONGLY against it!
EDIT: Or even "squealing like a ManPig." ;)
I agree. I am a member of F.R.O.G.S. (Free Ratman Opposing Golden pighaterS)
Oh, and by the way, nice new avatar!
