“Stupid tricks won’t work on me!” sceams the goblin as he once more resists Gyorgy spell. Spittle flies from his lips and his eyes glint red.
Goblin Attack on Kenzo: (1d20+3=11)
He lunges with his polearm at Kenzo who twists artfully away from the gleaming sharp blade, allowing it to pass harmlessly past his face. As the weapon glitters inches from his eye, Kenzo can’t help but think that it is a much sharper looking weapon than the various rusty dog-slicers he has seen through the evening. And then the goblin’s dog-mount sinks its teeth into Kenzo’s leg.
Goblin dog bites at Kenzo: (1d20+2=16); Damage: (1d6+3=9)
The attack is fierce and the pain is immense.
Kenzo must make a Fortitude Save: DC 12
The well dressed man with the dagger suddenly leaves the woman he was guarding, saying “Stay here Shayliss!” and moves in suddenly to attack the mounted goblin with his small blade.
“Aldern!” she yells.
Her cry draws the attention of the goblin who was dancing in front of the door of the inn. He turns his shiny red eyes towards her and as she looks around she sees she has the goblin’s full attention. With a shriek she runs directly south, alongside the inn, straight to where Eugen is standing. She throws herself behind Eugen crying out, “Help me, please!”
Aldern's attack and damage: (1d20+8=15, 1d4+1=5)
The man’s dagger sinks into the goblin’s back, drawing blood.
Meanwhile, the other goblin chasing after Shayliss, runs straight at Eugen, screaming the whole time.
Goblin attack against Eugen: (1d20+5=9)
Eugen turns the goblin’s weapon with his sword, and the creature stumbles, momentarily off balance.
The other two goblins, hearing the cries of their companions, the screams of Shayliss and Kenzo’s cry of pain, cease their dancing and survey the situation unfolding.

Kenzo |

Kenzo's body screams at the attack and his mind reels, his concentration completely broken.
Shaking off any further effects of the bite, Kenzo is aware of Rilo and a stranger both coming to his aid with only a dagger each. His training again takes over; he exhales and clears his mind, and tries to strike back at the beast that his bit him.
[ooc] (1d20=11+1+1bless=13 to hit, 1d6=3+1= 4 damage, if applicable)
Touch choice, but I'll have to utilize what I've always thought of as a major flaw of the game - losing all but one hit point, and still being able to make an attack as if completely healthy.

DM Wicht |

As the stench of the goblin dog assails his nostrils, Kenzo fights off the urge to sneeze and his blow connects with the loose hide of the beast. Dander, visible even in the little bit of light that is available, puffs out and into the air. The creature squeals and barks as it moves away from Kenzo. The goblin atop it holds on tightly, screaming out his own war cry.
Not to pile on but Kenzo needs to make another fortitude save, DC 12. :/
Goblin Dog: AC 13, 6 hp remaining.

Kenzo |

Eugen Enescu |

"you goblins are as pesky as flies!" i yell, swinging at my new attacker, wishing to dispatch him quickly and run to assist the others:

DM Wicht |

And again Eugen's sword slices through a goblin's defenses. There is a scream from Shayliss as Eugen's blade connects with flesh, but it is almost drowned out by the shout of the goblin as it stumbles backwards. If she had not been screaming right in his ear, Eugen might not have even noticed it.
The goblin sprawls on his back on the ground, his life blood pumping from his chest.

Rilo Quelross |

Rilo notices his friend in pain and becomes furious at the mounted goblin
Attack Roll (1d20=4-1 Final: 3 )
some consistency going on here too lol.

Magazin Fibros |

I move up to the mounted Goblin next to Kenzo and strike at it with my Starknife.
Starknife attack and damage as necessary. (1d20=7+1+2=10, 1d4=4+2)
Oh well.
On a side note, other than some 1 point Cure Minor Wounds, I am out of healing today...

Gyorgy Elberion |

Reluctant to charge into battle anyway, Gyorgy opts to use his last spell of the day and sends a Magic Missile shooting toward the mounted goblin. That done he approaches the melee; starknife in hand.

DM Wicht |

Gyorgy's magical attack strikes true and the goblin is visibly hurt as blood begins flowing from his nose. He licks the blood with his long tongue and then swings his mount back around, his horse-chopper polearm directed at the injured Kenzo. But he seems somehow more tired, less energetic and despite the pain in his leg, Kenzo easily avoids the attack.
Goblin Commando Attacks: (1d20+2=3)
Goblin dog attacks: (1d20+2=3)
Fumble saves, DC 10: (1d20+5=12, 1d20+4=22)
Likewise the goblin’s constant pulling on his mount’s reins makes it much harder for the beast to continue its munching on Kenzo’s leg. Despite their weak attacks, both rider and mount manage to keep their wits about them and avoid total mishap.
Aldern, moving north, across from Magazin, attacks again. He aims his dagger this time for the mount. His blade finds an opening in the creature’s ribs and the animal collapses to the ground.
Aldern's attack and damage: (1d20+10=13, 1d4+1d6+1=9)
Goblin's Ride check as mount dies DC 15: (1d20+11=17)
The goblin rider leaps skillfully from his mount as the goblin dog rolls sideways, dying. He shrieks in anger and in response the two goblins charging in from the north cry out their own battle cries. Both of the goblins rush at Magazin, who is closest.
Goblins charging in: (1d20+5=13, 1d20+5=18)
Damage: (1d4=1)
Magazin blocks the first goblins vicious attack with his klar but is not quick enough to turn aside the blade of the second. The wound is slight however.

![]() |

so, what's the current goblin layout? i guess i'm trying to figure out if there enough room between people to give me a straight shot for a charge.
Rilo is in the way for a straight charge at the injured leader. I think I would allow a charge at the goblin on the end of the golbin line however. The other obvious option is to simply move to [d,11], squeezing between Rilo and Aldern before attacking (without a charge).

Kenzo |

Kenzo moves between Aldern and Rilo, removing himself from the reach of the new goblins rushing to join the battle. As he does so, he attempts to strike their now dismounted leader, but his body is wracked with pain and he fails to connect.
If I remember correctly, that sort of step is okay, and doesn't provoke an AoO. If I'm mistaken, I'll remain where I am and just miss from there.

DM Wicht |

Five foot step is fine and page 95 of the Rules Compendium (picked it up myself a couple of weeks ago) says you may move diagonally past an opponent. So its all good.
The goblin whips his polearm from side to side as he tries to follow the movements of his opponents as they weave around him.
Eugen can charge into the square Kenzo occupied.

Eugen Enescu |

I gaze momentarily at the scene, trying to decide the best entrance strategy, and settle on charging the unmounted leader.
to hit goblin, e11 (1d20 +7=10)
unfortunately, i seem to have encountered some sort of bad luck energy field, or possibly i am winded from my previous attacks. foil'd!

Magazin Fibros |

I take a swipe at the goblin in front and to my right (g11), and apparently the great karmic gods have frowned on me almost as much as the rest of the combatants...
Starknife attack and damage roll as necessary. (1d20=2+1+2=5, 1d4=1+2=3)
I then take a 5 foot step back to E13 so Eugen can cover my flank and hopefully start forming a combat block that won't get quickly overrun.
"Gyorgy, you may want to think about moving back a bit"

Gyorgy Elberion |

"Hey, I'm not completely useless!"
Gyorgy chooses probably the wrong moment to prove himself and circles around the goblins to provide flanking.
Using two move actions (60ft) to circle around the rain barrel and whatnot and end up beside Aldern in E10

DM Wicht |

Feeling desperate and facing a solid wall of opponents to his right, the goblin fighter chooses to target Eugen. He swings his horsechopper in a visious arc that catches Eugen by surprise.
Goblin commando attacks: (1d20+2=17); Damage: (1d8+1=8)
Then with a desperate cackle, the little monster moves back, away from his bleeding target. Aldern moves just as quickly. But though he stabs viciously, the goblin deftly blocks it with his shield.
The other two goblins, seeing Eugen bleeding, as one attack. Eugen, a little woozy from the sudden loss of blood and the pain, clumsily blocks one, but the other gets in a lick with his rusty blade. It is almost more than Eugen can stand and he stumbles, barely able to keep himself from falling. He is dimly aware of Shayliss in the background, shouting and crying.
Goblins attack Eugen: (1d20+1=7, 1d20+1=19); damage: (1d4=4)

Kenzo |

Kenzo immediately steps up (5' move to e11) and unleashes a flurry of blows, striking first with a vicious kick to the goblin in the middle, and following up with a sword hand strike to the throat of the goblin to his right (f12).

Rilo Quelross |

DM Wicht |

Rilo snaps out of his daze, he seems to be somewhat lost in the battle but returns to see his new friends suffering greatly. "the pen is mightier than the sword" he chuckles slightly to himself " I hope not." as he moves to attack the goblin closest to him (f12?)
Hi. Good to have you back. Two points about your move... 1) if you move to [G,13] before attacking you will be across from Kenzo and therefore flanking. You'll get 1d6 extra damage from sneak attack (and +2 to hit from flanking). 2) A 19 with a dagger is a potential critical. You need to roll to confirm the critical.

Magazin Fibros |

As soon as my turn comes around...
I take a step back and to my left, away from the Goblins, and pray to Desna to heal Eugen
5 foot step to d12. Sorry, it's all I have left...

flanking works for me

DM Wicht |

+2 to hit, not +2 to damage. Sorry. That makes it 4 damage then total.
Rilo's dagger sinks into the unfortunate goblin who squeals in agony. Its not dead but it is very unhappy (1 hp left).
Magazin's healing is enough to staunch Eugen's bleeding and clear his head. (1 hp). As Eugen gazes at the battlefield with somewhat clearer eyes he observes the goblin commando is badly injured and the goblin on the right is badly injured. The goblin right in front of him however is completely whole and is looking at him with murder in his eyes as he feints with his dogslicer.
Eugen can act now without penalty.

Eugen Enescu |

With a slight dodge to my left, as i reads the map, presuming rilo to be in G13 as suggested i am flanking the goblin in f12 with Rilo on the other side.
woozily i bring my sword around and down in an arc over the goblin's head:
flanking goblin, to hit, f12 (1d20 +7=16)
i believe this is a hit?

DM Wicht |

It is a hit, even though you can't move where you wanted to because Kenzo is standing there :)
Eugen tries to lurch to the left and bumps momentarily into Kenzo. Reeling back he swings at the wounded goblin on the end, just as the goblin was turning to try and deal with Rilo.
Taken thus from behind, the goblin falls to the ground, a bloody mess.

DM Wicht |

As he blocks from multiple angles, the polearm wielding goblin focuses on Kenzo, intent on thinning the ranks of his foes. He jabs a vicious thrust at the unarmored monk and then whips the blade up. Kenzo stares for a moment in disbelieve and then, his knees giving way, he collapses to the ground.
Goblin Commando: (1d20+2=20) damage (1d8+1=4)
Shayliss Shrieks from her vantage point, horrified at this turn of events. The goblin moves back [ooc][G,11] but Aldern follows right behind, dagger at the ready. But the little goblin is more than capable of defending himself.
Goblin Attacks Eugen: (1d20+1=11)
Eugen meanwhile, as the divine energies continue to wash over him, or maybe its just the adrenaline, begins more nimbly parrying. Though the uninjured goblin tries mightily to connect his blows ring against nothing but wood and steel.
