Born to an Elf father and Shoanti Human mother, Magazin has been traveling almost since he was born. His family lived a very nomadic lifestyle with his mother's Tamiir-Quah tribe, during which he learned of Desna from his father. Magazin's Father taught him that the totem spirits of the Shoanti were an aspect of Desna, and that he could find strength in venerating his tribe's totem spirit, and wisdom in following the will of Desna.
Magazin has traveled most of his life and has a small collection of maps from his youthful travels, mostly frivolous drawings as he learned how to properly draw maps.
Magazin has traveled to Sandpoint via Magnamar for the Swallowtail festival, and has entertained himself in the days leading up to the festival by drawing maps of the town for travelers new to the area.
