Fey Adventures

3.5/d20/OGL

Can anyone suggest some good Dungeon adventures that feature the fey as key story elements? I'm looking for adventures that are about equally combat and RPing, maybe more on the RPing side.

Liberty's Edge

Arctaris, are you looking for adventures specifically with fey as a creature type, or would you also consider creatures that aren’t strictly fey, but may be considered associated with them (depending on your take, creatures like goblins or gnomes)?

Only 3.0 or 3.5 adventures or older stuff too?

I'm looking for adventures with Fey-like creatures, creatures that have a close connection to nature or really just the 'feel' that the Fey have. I'm particularly interested in adventures that have the Fey as antagonists; the darker side of the Fey interests me and I think would make an interesting campaign.

I'll try to find my Dungeon index and have a think about it tonight, post somehting tomorrow if I get a chance.

Thanks.

Chris Wissel (the wereplatypus of olden times) wrote "Wingclipper's Revenge" that would fit the bill, I think. I cant rmember the iss# though...Its a module highlighting the dark side of the fey.

Grand Lodge

Wingclipper's Revenge was from 132, for 4th level pcs. It's the closest to what you want from any I can think of.

Swords of Dragonslake in 141 features a nymph assassin, but is urban (theater oriented) and isn't really fey associated.

Not exactly fey, but there was one with a centaur sorcerer using a tree whose song caused madness. Can't remember the name of it but is was somewhere towards the end of the magazine's run.

Also not fey-
Masque of Dreams (142 - 1st level)featured some underground religious cult pretending to be captured in order to drug an estate party and kidnap them all as slaves. Could be messed around with to be suitably fey.

Escape from Meenlock Prison (146 - 1st level) had some pretty dark hallucinatory content. Meenlocks are aberrations, but you could raise the level and make them half fey.

Curious to see what other people come up with-

That was "Twisted Night" in issue 149, written by the boards Farewell2Kings I believe.

Sorry Arctaris, I flaked on checking my magazines, I'll see what I can come up with anyway...

Alright, these ones all use 3.0 rules (I think), but are not difficult to convert to 3.5

Valley of the Snails, Issue 87. This one should be familiar to you Arctaris…

Spoiler:
as you know, this adventure features goblins, a ranger, a quasit and in very minor part, a satyr

The Shalm’s Dark Song, Issue 87. Not exactly a fey based adventure,

Spoiler:
this is set in a woodland temple to Obad-hai and features a tiefling bard and an ogre.

Wedding Bells, Issue 89. Very rp based, and featuring some fey and a woodland setting,

Spoiler:
this adventure is set at the border of an elven forest; the main enemies are gnolls and a harpy, and a satyr plays a prominent role in the adventure.

The Legend of Garthulga, Issue 91. Although it does not involve fey, this short adventure

Spoiler:
is based around an elven legend, set in a rural / woodland setting and features halflings, gnomes and a dire boar.

Thanks. I've been thinking of running the Valley of Snails for my group, since its been so much fun online. I've also been planning on running Escape from Meenlock Prison too.
One other question; has any third party publisher written a sourcebook like the Fiendish Codices and Libris Mortis, but about the fey?

I'm sure I've seen something like this in my FLGS once, but I couldn't tell you what company it was by - or if it was any good.

Avalanche Press did Little People: A d20 Guide to Fairies for 3.0. Never played with it, but I looked through it, and it has a lot more than just happy little fairies. It gets into the different fey of English, Welsh, Scottish, etc. mythology, including the fey versions of goblins, hobgoblins, etc.

Funny, that's exactly what I'm doing with my group. Started with "Meenlock Prison" and am now doing "Valley of the Snails" (enhanced version :-). Some of the villains from Meenlock Prison escaped into the Dim Forest, and have to be hunted down by the PCs. To complicate matters, the villains have been captured by the goblins of the Valley of the Snails... Mothman must really have inspired us!

As for a sourcebook, I recommend the Ravenloft line's Van Richten's Guide to the Shadow Few.

It was still 3.0 to the best of my knowledge, but this book by Bastion Press might be something along the lines of what you are looking for:
