The Sczarni and Varisians

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

So, are we going to learn more about these people? I'm fascinated by the little tidbits we've gotten so far - the gypsy-like culture, the loose confederacy of thieves... anything more planned for the Sczarni and the Varisians?

Maybe we'll get something about them in Pathfinder here and there - a bit of background tied to adventures, extra material in the second half of the book....

And there will be a Gazetteer in January, and a full-blown Campaign Setting in August. I'm sure that they will have more info.

And in Pathfinder 3, there's an article about Varisia (mini-gazetteer, if you like). I haven't read it yet, but there might be some tidbits of information hiding in there, too.

Is there any good info on the Sczarni that I've missed so far? I have a player who wants to be a member, and I want to tie it in as much as possible with the setting and adventure. Specifically, I'm curious what kind of influence they have in Sandpoint, and to a lesser extent Magnimar.

I'm planning to write the Sczarni up with the Affiliation rules in PHBII, but I am pretty sure they don't function like the typical thieves' guild as it is usually envisioned.

Anyone have any thoughts or done this already?
