Was shipping supposed to be free?

Order 723779 - I didn't see anything in the sale that explained why the shipping was free on this. The only thing I could think of was that your system calculated the full price of everything I bought and it was over $100 - but it was all on sale, so it really didn't cost me that much.

And I'd rather you guys stay in business, plus it says "Lawful Good" right here in the alignment block on my character sheet, so I figured if this was a mistake, I'd better let you know.

Assuming it was a mistake, let me know if I need to do something else to authorize a corrected charge...

~sighs~ Yea. I too was wondering about that. ~grumbles~ If it was a SNAFU, please adjust my shipping rate(s) too.

Will all the Lawful Good folks please raise their hand?
(~Raises hand~)

Chaotic Evil and other non-LG folks, feel free to lurk at this thread and quietly back away...pretend you never saw it.

I am Neutral Good, but that is still close enough.

I'm technically Lawful Naughty, but I noticed this as well. Please let me know if I owe you $9.02.

~sighs~ In my case it will be around $40. Ouch! But still, I want Paizo to stay around, and cheating them will not help that out. ~sighs~ Thanks a bunch Cintra. Until you pointed it out, I was just thinking "SWEET!!! More niceness from Paizo!" Oh well. Easy come, easy go.

Same thing with my order...I'm thinking that the books I ordered would at regular price be over $100 and qualify for the first $10 shipping for free. The sale price though only added up to $14 and the shipping to $6.66 which got subtracted. Maybe the devil made Paizo do it...more likely the First Ten Shipping Promotion got based on non-sale prices and maybe shipping got based on the sale price or something (would seven books really only be $6+ for regular shipping).

Hey there Paizo staff! I really would like to know if there is a problem with the shipping!

Thanks,
Kevin

Well... heh...

The honest answer to your question, Cintra, is no. It is not supposed to do that. We just noticed this bug shortly before you posted.

You are correct, as well. The system is currently looking at the original price of your products when determining whether your order qualifies for the First Ten Shipping Promotion. As a result, orders are qualifying when they shouldn't.

This will be fixed. Post haste.

Rest assured, Paizo is not in such a position that this is going to cause us to go under. :) Furthermore, we are not going to be taking away your discounts that have been applied and charging you more than what was displayed on your "Confirm Your Order screen. We just don't work that way.

Therefore, you can all consider this a "First Day of the Promotion EXTRA Promotion". You are all the early birds. :D

Thanks for the notification, though. You can all* consider this your Lawful Good Deed of the day.

Thanks,
cos

Spoiler:
Except Sharoth. For you, this just completes the first step of your Atonement quest. The other eleven still must be completed.

Thanks for the heads up, Cosmo. ~sighs in relief~ I am glad to be "saving" the $40. That is a bit more than my combined Pathfinder and Gamemastery plus shipping coming up.

~thinks~ 11 more steps? I thought there were at least 15 more steps.

I can hear Gary's screams from here. :P

Heh...

Lisa's words. Not mine.

Like I could ever hope to do anything other than follow the Great Eye.

Cosmo - Thanks for the quick reply, and for the bonus savings. I still feel a bit guilty, but I guess I'll just have to get over it. :)

When it comes to "world class customer service," you guys don't come close. You're so far beyond that. Galaxy-class customer service? (Nah, that would be a starship.) Cosmos-class? (Too punny?) Anyway, something like that...

I hate our promotions code.

All I can say is good luck. There is a reason why I will be going into networking and not programming if I ever get back into the computer field again.

Another reason you guys have a near fanatical following... there's not many companies that would find out about this kind of problem and let it stand for the lucky ones who placed their orders already. Yet you did, with a cheerful attitude. Thanks again for displaying some of the best customer service I've ever experienced!
