Since I am currently still running Savage Tide, I haven't gotten around to actually using any of the very handsome Pathfinder volumes that are rapidly piling up on my table. Rise of the Runelords is very likely going to be the next game that I run.
However, since I run this particular gaming group online, I've made heavy use of the free .pdf files of maps and characters that came with each issue of Dungeon. I was a bit dismayed to see that there doesn't seem to be anything like that for Pathfinder. Does anyone know if either a) the .pdfs are somewhere I'm not looking? b) there are any plans on paizo's part to start releasing those .pdfs for subscribers/"renters"?
If I can't get those .pdfs, I'll probably just run Shackled City or Age of Wyrms, but I'd hate to leave those sleek and sexy Pathfinder volumes so virginal and untouched...

If I understand correctly, you are referring to the map/image web enhancements that used to accompany each Dungeon issue. As I understand it, it's just not feasible for Paizo to provide these right now, because they are neck-deep in other work that enjoys higher priority. But I think James Jacobs said it was a possibility such web enhancements might be made available at a later date.

In answer to the OP, my suggestion would be to subscribe as early as possible to get the free PDF. Because if you wait later, you'll have to purchase book and PDF separately (even now, you already missed PF#1 and #2, and many modules as well).
And once they start giving us free PDF enhancements, I doubt it will be the maps or any other already published content. One of the reasons I subscribed is because I get a free PDF. And the main interest in those PDF is the maps and art I can take out (to print or organize in a slide show) for easier DMing. If those would all show up as free enhancements, I doubt the sub will be as interresting. The blog gives out enough maps and art as it is.
