I need some help. My players are just starting SoLS and where told not to go to Manzorian's fortress because of the wards. Well I have this feeling that they are going to try and go any way. What wards would you use for the fortress? I really don't have any idea what to use. Thanks in advance for your help.

Beldar, if memory serves me correctly, the Fortress of the Unknown Depths is an ancient place. I don't even think Tenser/Manzorian is the one who set up the most powerful wards there.
Anyone know who built the place? I'm not exactly sure, but I seem to recall that it dates back to either Flan civilization or maybe the Isles of Woe. I just can't recall right now.

What wards would you use for the fortress?
This addressed to some degree in Return of the Eight, an old 2/e adventure.
IMC Tenser's (Manzorian's) fortress is of such power and antiquity that I add anything I want when I need it. I don't feel obligated to slavishly follow any rules when doing this -- if PCs are going to be this foolish, they can pay the price.
One example from Rot8 regarded attempts to teleport in -- anyone trying would instantly (no save) be transported to an inescapable cell in the dungeon, waiting for someone (the rest of the group?) to show up to release them.
