Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Silver Crusade

I realize that the three previous AP's are not OGL, and thus cannot be included as part of the setting. But as work continues on the Campaign Setting, will there be any attention given to locations that could be converted to that purpose? An unnamed city in a volcano, an island far off the known and explored part of the map, etc. As popular as this setting is getting, I'm sure there are others who would like to play the previous AP's in it.

I see no reason why you can't simply do that yourself. If the fine Paizonians do indeed place a caldera-city somewhere on a Golarion map, people are going to want to know what it is, who lives there, what adventures take place there, yadda yadda yadda. This means one of two things may happen; 1: They leave it deliberately vague, claiming that it's a "chained city" where foul things are rumored to lurk. Since Shackled City isn't OGL, this may cause some issue with the folks over at WotC (of course, my legal-eez isn't at all shiny, so I may be talking out of my ass here), or 2: They begin detailing said city, taking it further away from the AP that you want it to stay true to. The easiest thing to do is adjust the AP you want to use to Golarion. If you're running the Age of Worms, have the Ebon Triad trying to merge Norgorber, Zon-Kuthon, and Rovagug, with Ghlaunder taking the place of Kyuss. It's fairly easy to find a place for them if you look.

That is an interesting question. I think the answer is "no" but there are still plenty of open areas in our world into which one of the previous APs could probably fit. :)

I recently asked what the chances of getting Age of Worms and Savage Tide collected into sourcebooks like Shackled City. The answer I got from Lisa herself was that Paizo no longer holds the rights to produce those works in any form, unless WotC decides to give them the rights in the future.

My guess is that also means they'll steer clear of them to be safe. I mean yes they could do something like AoW did with the Free City, No one said it but everyone knew it was Greyhawk. But I do doubt it.

You might want to keep an eye on #Pathfinder tread for the summary of yesterday's chat that should be posted (probably by Lilith) at some point. Erik's answers were full of names and references we couldn't understand without the Gaz in hand, but you'll get answers anyway :)
