Kraken's Cove map scale

My group will be heading to Kraken's Cove next and I'm busy working out the maps (print from pdf and scale up with photoshop - great fun). The scale confused me though - 1 square = 10 foot. Is that right? It makes the map ENORMOUS!
Reading the descriptions it seems like it is right - I'm just a bit shocked as I try to imagine trying to squeeze more than two rooms on the table at once. If the party splits up we'll need more tables!

Keep a halibut on the table to hit people if they separate.

I do believe the scale is correct, given the size of the ships moored at the shore.

Don't forget to plan out the placement of the hanging silks in K5.

I have managed to keep my party from separating by nearly killing them all every time they have tried it in the past. The one time the rogue went off solo he did so near the end of a session, he had to wait a week to find out if he needed to roll up a new character or not. He has not wanted to go off solo since.
