After seeing the threads about various MMO's on this board about setting up guild corporations and what not, when I finally got my beta invite for Tabula Rasa, it got me thinking . . . do any other paizoians plan on playing this game?
Figured I throw this out there and see what happens. I dunno if I'm gonig to pick it up . . (depends on if my wife decides she and her dad need their CoH fix . . .) but if I do . . it can't hurt to be able to call some paizoians as clanmates.

I have played it in the same beta and was not impressed. It's more like a MMOFPS than anything remotely resembling an MMORPG. In fact, I'd go so far to say that it is indeed an FPS. That you can play with other people. Woopee. I have an Xbox 360 for that.
I'll try to muster up the desire to give it another chance, but I'm no fan of FPSs. I hope you have more fun with it than me. :)

I picked it up because it has Richard Garriott's name on it, and it's not what I wanted it to be. Granted, I'm only up to the first mission where you actually get the logos powers, but not quite enough to snag me. When I played, I was having some connection issues as well to their servers, so that kinda impinged on my enjoyment a wee bit. But yeah, MMOFPS so far. Whee. The intro movie was cool though. :D

Hear hear, Mike! I got in on the beta, too, and was quickly unimpressed (the opening CGI video aside...that thing was beautiful.) The character design was VERY limited and once you pick up your first piece of armor what little you could option looks-wise was thrown out the window. I didn't care for the interface, the controls seemed less than intuitive (for me at least, and yes I know one can remap the keys but I like to work it with the default setup initially), the chat & friending process seemed unworkable, and, in the end, I too found it not only to be just a 3rd-person shooter but a crappy one that consisted of players silently running back and forth shooting at all the same spawns.
On the semi-plus side the map seemed to be huge, I didn't play long enough to run across it, but that also seemed its detriment much like my time with Anarchy Online (which had massive deserts you could run across seemingly forever and not see anyone except the outmatched baddies that were between you and your mission entrance.)
Good luck to you in TR, William, hopefully it'll be a much better game with the full release (did it come out yet?) but I'll stick with my City of Villains (with Issue 11 looming on the horizon...woo hoo!)

In fairness, it's a LOT more flexible than WoW and GW, but it's nowhere near as flexible as CoH/CoV. Of course, nothing is, but that's not my point. ;)

Honestly, I haven't fully decided on it either . . . But I figured I'd check to see what the people here would say . . . and now I have it. THanks to everyone who responded.
