Magnimar Maps scale wrong?

Rise of the Runelords

Was there a mix-up with the maps? The big map on page 62 and the map on page 64 (the one with the Shadow) show a scale thingy with 640 feet, but they seem to be different scales: On page 62, the irespan measures something like 300 feet of width, but two pages down the road, it's more than twice as wide.

Am I overlooking something or is that a small mix-up. And if so: What scale is right?

While we're on the topic of maps - is the arvensoar mislabeled? I would guess that it is 12, but the key indicates that it is 9. Are there any other mistakes on the key?

I'll double check these on Tuesday and post answers here... if I remember to. That's a lot of days away.

Bloody hell. I have no idea how that went so screwy. [Lengthy series of expletives deleted]. Following the map presented, the key should read as follows:

1: The Alabaster District
2: The Marble District
3: Naos
4: The Irespan
5: Bridgeward
6: The Capital District
7: Grand Arch
8: Vista
9: The Bazaar of Sails
10: Dockway
11: Lowcleft
12: The Arvensoar
13: Keystone
14: Beacon's Point
15: Rag's End
16: The Marches
17: Silver Shore
18: Kyver's Islet
19: Ordellia
20: Underbridge

I'll see if we can get a version of the map put together that better suits the printed tags come Tuesday. Sorry about the hassle all!

As for the scale on the map of "The Shadow," it is off. The easy fix would be to just half it and then you're pretty much in the neighborhood. So instead of going up to 640 it should go to around 320.

See! Maps are easy (grumble grumble).

You're thinking about this all wrong: Everyone will scramble to get the "Collector's Version" now, like the upside down airplane stamp. Once it is fixed, it just won't be the same!

That's right! It's not "wrong," it's "exclusive."

Hey, it's no big deal. It wasn't anything annoying like showing a picture of a construct and calling it human or printing the maps mirror-inverted or mislabeling different sub-races or stuff like that.

But thanks for the quick reply!

Okay! The snazzy Magnimar web supplement (currently housed here, on the Pathfinder blog until we make a permanent home for it) now features a second map with the correct legend. Again, sorry for the hassle all!

20: Underbridge

I'm looking at the new maps. Where is Underbridge? Is it literally *under the bridge* (i.e. the Shadow district) and this is why it's not on the key or map?

Underbridge is under the bridge. The #20 is on the map on the page 64 of Pathfinder 2.

I was delighted to see such a quick response to the queries on the Magnimar maps.

If you guys are ever in my part of the world I will buy you a drink.

In the Angels of Arvensoar box page 60 of Pathfinder 2 the story of Ordellia mentions that the Varisians asked the citizens to move "south of the Yondabakari River and away from their holy grounds".

Yet, when Ordellia relocated she went West, not South, according to the Magnimar map. Is it another mistake or I'm missing something?
