Iconics - mostly women?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I didn't see anything on this, so I am asking. Three of the first 4 (not counting the wizard like elf guy) are women. As a man, hey, that's great...as a player, with other players, that like to use them for character portraits, that stinks.

Are there any more, varied iconics planned for the male gender? :)

I remember Dragon used to publish pages of p.c. portraits. Might be cool for Varisia, I don't know--a page of black and whites on the website of Shoanti, or Chellaxian wizards, or something.

I seem to recall the inestimable Mr. Jacobs commenting on the sales value of an attactive cover model. The fact that three of the first four iconics are female might well be intended to, ah, establish a positive image in customers' minds to get the series off to a good launch...

Here is an old thread dealing with just this topic.

As Ungoded pointed out, this has been discussed already.

Patience will reveal, in time, a perfectly even division of the sexes among our iconics.

For those too lazy to wander over to the other link (like me!)...

By Pathfinder 12, we'll have 12 iconics. Of them, six will be male, and six will be female. The plan is to have an even split of 3 and 3 for each adventure path. SO that means male iconics will be on the covers to Pathfinder 5 and Pathfinder 6.
