This message is appearing in multiple threads - I will be posting IC, or building characters as appropriate for the character I am posting as when I get home from work.

Thanks for your patience.

I'm travelling for work Monday. Might be able to post from hotel Monday night if the internet works there. Might not be able to post til Tuesday night.

Dark Archive

I hope the sudden silence is only due to the recent problems with the site.

Hey folks, a quick heads up. I know I promised to post like, a week ago, but, as seems to be happening all too often these days, I got overburdened by work. Also, I've been ill for the past 4 days, so that hasn't helped. In a little under an hour and a half I'll be knocking off, so I'll be posting within the next two hours.

PROMISE!

Hi, guys. My new work laptop didn't have any security software installed so I didn't dare try the net while I was away. Anyway, I'm back and will get a chance to post tonight. Then it's away for the Thanksgiving holiday. I will try to post Saturday or Sunday. Sorry for the delays.

Wow, welcome back Flamifur. Hope your recovery is complete. And the boards have been awful lately. Is Paizo letting commerce obstruct the flow of our game?? Where are their priorities? :)

Me sorry for contributing to obstruction. Me bought lots of books.

Stilgar wrote:

S'okay. I'd like to do the same. Haven't had a chance yet.

Dark Archive

Though it is not a holiday celebrated in my country, I would like to greet those who do, "Happy Thanksgiving."

Liberty's Edge

The weather over here is cold, cold, cold !

Finally, all is well and I have updated the Play Thread.

I'm just doing something 'unpleasant' to Stilgar and Nik and then I'll be throwing you guys into the jungle (no cheese in sight).

Could everyone update their character sheets with their new weapons, etc please.

Also, could everyone make it clear what languages they can speak as well.

I'm off to create the next bit of Narration

Sorry for not posting earlier...been crazy with work and the holiday. A belated best wish for all. Hope you're feeling better, Flamifur.

I second that motion. I meant to, but well, things kept getting in the way. (Stupid Life! Accept my addiction to DnD and PbP's!)

Also, Welcome back Flamifur, and I hope all of you Americans had a nice Thanksgiving.

Now, lets get on with it!

Erion speaks the following: Common, Elven, Draconic, Celestial, and Auran. Not sure why it isn't showing up in the profile. I'd just add a spoiler thing-o...

EDIT: Added Directly between Class Features and Skills, for reference if you ever need it.

Erion will most likely want to learn a few other languages along the way also, but we'll see.

Dark Archive

Added the glaive and the appurtenant oil for the torch already. Stilgar can only speak COMMON albeit with a very weird accent.

Also, I might be late posting next week. Work, of course.

Nik's languages

Spoiler:
common and elvish.

Will do on the charater sheet.

That encounter wasn't too unpleasant. Nik's probably a little intimidated. I was thinking that he would be really pissed to be used so. Well he is, but intimidated too.

Wow, breaking news on the Paizo boards. Get it first -- here.

Glad you're OK, Radavel. Quakes can be unnerving. I was in LA for the Northridge quake, and some smaller ones. Never in a high-rise. What's it like up there?

Thanks for your concern.

To answer your question: it's pretty scary experiencing a quake while on the top floor. Tne intensity of the quake is magnified the higher you're up the building. You can literally see and feel the building sway. I tell you the only thing that flashed through my mind was asking God to take care of my loved ones should the worst happened. I remember reciting "Hail Mary" several times and there was this guy in the office shouting excitedly every time the shaking would increase. The quake lasted for 45 seconds.

Flamifur, I was chatting in Rogue's discussion thread and mentioned that this PbP may be setting a record for role play to roll play ratio. How is this game working out for you? It may be good that we're a low maintainence group, but are you getting what you want out of it? I'm enjoying this game very much.

Just wanted to second that comment by Thom - it's been great so far; hope we aren't messing with the flow of things you had in mind, Flam.

Cheers!

I'll third it!

I'm having a great time exploring our characters and their relationships - here's to more of it!

Male Workaholic, level 10

So, is everything ok out there with Flamifur? Seems like the post thread has gotten mighty quiet. ***Crickets chirping***

I agree. Has gotten quiet. Flamifur was having computer problems awhile ago. I hope that's all it is now.

Hey, Flamifur, you out there?

Dark Archive

Just waiting for the caravan here. :-)

Male Human - dash of elf Miniature painter/ Heroic

Same here. Jessa waiting with a sullen pout.

I too, am waiting - I'm sick, but not of waiting - I'm just sick.

Here's hoping you feel better soon, Fox.

Hey guys, I just saw a post from Kobald Cleaver, Flamifur hasn't posted for a while in his game. He hasn't posted in Rogue's game for a while either.

Is it too early to start a Wanted: Flamifur thread? I'm getting a little worried about him.

Edit: Flamifur's last post in ROgue's game was Nov 27th.

Male Workaholic, level 10

Maybe it's a touch early, but I too am starting to worry. Hope he's OK; maybe just computer problems.

Hope you feel better, Fox. :-)

Tee-Hee ! Maybe I'm lulling you into a false sense of security.......

Seriously, I'm just trying to play to want you guys seem to want.

I think the group works really well and I've spent most of my time feeling guilty for not posting enough.

That is about to change...............

As far as the 'record' is concerned - I think it's a by-product of my personl take on roleplaying in general and D&D in particular. I love dungeon bashing as much as the next guy but what I really like is a really good reason to go dungeon bashing, and that comes from real Role playing - character developement, background, interaction with each other and NPCs, believable motivations and as much imagination as you can muster. The game needs to fit around the characters - they need to be a real part of the story.

All that being said - I am looking forward to seeing just how much damage Stilgar can dish out in a couple of combat rounds if some makes him 'angry'.

Man! I've been under fire once or twice when I was younger but that's nothing compared to the situation you found yourself in ! I'm glad you came though it ok.

To be honest, I wanted the encounter to 'leave a nasty taste in the mouth' rather than start a fight so it seems to have worked ! Which is nice !

Flamifur! Good to hear from ya!

Male Human - dash of elf Miniature painter/ Heroic

Indeed! Greetings fellow Brit!

I'm ready to roll!! Lets get this caravan moving! Glad your back Flam....heh...Hope you brought some cheese with you...heh....

What have I done !

Welcome back, Flamifur. great to hear from you.

Check Kobald Cleavers game.

Will do - probably not till tomorrow though.

Just thought I'd let you know the play thread is updated. Loads more to come tomorrow but there's some stuff to roll 'invisible castle dice' at.

I hope your characters packed their safari suits ;)

Me still Stilgar already wearing animal hide.

Our next character, Niklaus Wright is stylishly arrayed in studded hunting leathers. His shortbow and ax add a declasse' martial flavor that we haven't seen since before dual scimitar wielding black elves became all the rage. Two very dangerous looking spears provide just the right accents to complete this stunning ensemble.

Oooohhhh... a model.

Male Workaholic, level 10

You two are making me laugh on the floor - my co-workers are staring. :-D

Oooooohhhh... a wise guy, ha. Two fingers to the eyes. Poke! Me can't see!

Bunch o' nancy-boys. Stop prancin' about and get a move on, ya eejits!

Beware of how you touch the post... it might sue! :D

Radavel, how's it going out there? Any more excitement in the Phillipines? Civil liberties? I hear nothing on the news here in the states, but to be honest, don't hunt news down like I used to. I just take what the networks and radio feed me. Kind of pathetic really.

How are the rest of you?

I'm going to bed.

Well, my boss won his case against the government, which has been trying for the better part of twenty one years to seize his companies.

Civil liberties is back to normal if you can call it that. The curfew has been rescinded and those responsible for last month's excitement are now being charged with rebellion.

Could be worse....

Congratulations to your boss. Maybe you can fight city-hall ... sometimes.
