I have been playing in a couple of PBP games over the past few weeks which I'm really enjoying (Thanks Mevers and The Last Rogue)and I'm now thinking of running Shackled City (or at least the first part of it to begin with).
I'll be setting it in Greyhawk and I'm looking for 4-6 players. It would probably be a good starting game for anyone thinkling of trying a PBP for the first time so we can all learn together, but a couple of 'old hands' wouldn't go amiss.
I'll be using the point buy system and Invisible Castle for dice rolling. I haven't yet come up with a definitive list of what supplements can and can't be used so just let me know whether you want in and when I've got enough Players I'll start a discussion thread and cover character generation on that.
I'm based in the UK so some of my posting times may be a little weird but I'm sure thst won't be a problem.

I was very close to giving you the opportunity to return the favor, but I have read all of Shackled city, and DMed up till flood season, and even written a conversion for Eberron, so I know it pretty well. As well, I think I am in enough PbP at the moment, so I'll give someone else an opportunity.

Well, I just recently started reading the boards here, and I'll admit that I am intrigued to try the PBP approach.
If you're willing to take on a somewhat rusty player (when it comes to 3.5) and newbie to the PBP approach, please let me know. I'm certainly going to need help in getting started.
I'd probably stick to the basics, like a fighter class; mage or cleric might be more helpful I suppose. But I'm also willing to fill roles where needed for a party.

As far as characters are concerned I suppose we should go for some kind of balance but I'd rather people played what they want to (within reason) and had more fun.
As soon as I get a couple more on board I'll start a discussion thread and we can get down to character generation.
Flamifur, I'd like to play if you've room and can accept the downsides.
Case in point : I'm travelling on business next week, may be out of touch all week. Hopefully my laptop and the hotel internet will talk to each other but it doesn't always work. When I'm travelling my hours can be crazy and posting will be spotty even if I can get on the net.

Thereal Thom I have no problem with taking you on board as long as you get your character sorted before you possibly go out of touch for the week - I don't see us getting going much before a week saturday anyway.
Greyhawk is the default 3.5 setting so you know a little about it anyway. To be honest the campaign world has little impact on the scenario unless its Eberron or the Forgotten Realms so i took the easy way out by using greyhawk.
Later tonight I'll start the Discussion Thread so we can get cracking with character generation.

Non-essential comment here. As something of an "old school" gamer I just wanted to add that Greyhawk is very much the classic fantasy world in the traditional D&D sense. If you can find a PDF or old copy, I recommend reading the Greyhawk Gazeteer to give you a snapshot of it in updated form.
As was mentioned, it is sort of a baseline world for character building - minimal complications in terms of mythology you have to work from.
