Marius Vaca |

Listen check d20 + 1 = 13
Marius hearing the goblins chanting and screeching, their sounds soon begin to become drowned out by the even more audacious singings of that bard from earlier. Marius quickly looks around for the goblins again.
Spot check d20 + 1 = 19
Noticing one goblin scurring across the table Marius reaches for a nearby cutting knife for the venison.
Making an active spot check and picking up a weapon.

Vaclav Rennet |

Just to keep things moving, I'll post now for execution after Onagella and Sunshine's turn.
Unable to find an obvious fire, and assuming the capable looking dwarf will dispatch her opponent, Vaclav turns to the pair of goblins on the tables.
If a charge can reach one --
If a charge can't reach a goblin --

Tzoltan is shocked to see his newfound acquaintances leaping into action as they do. He grips his hammer in his now sweaty hand, looking from the lady dwarf and her dog, then to the woodsman charging toward the table. He finally decides to help the lady dwarf, tiptoeing toward her little goblin enemy so as to not attract its attention. He tries to work his way behind it, or at least flank it, and swings his hammer at the back of its big pumpkin-head.
OOC: He can move 15' while Moving Silently. I realize that he's probably too late, and Onagella has probably dropped the enemy. If so, he'll just look down at the dead creature, a bit nauseated.
Move Silently: 6+7=13
To Hit if needed: 16+1+2 flanking bonus?=19?
Damage if needed: 1+1+6 sneak attack if applicable=8

Rince |

I realise this is out of sequence, but I won't get a chance to post again for a while so I thought I'd post now
Rince is aware of his in-experience but also wants to do the best he can for the people of Sandpoint.
If he is now aware of individual Goblins racing around and causing grief - I assumed the failed spot/listen rolls last round meant he couldn't make out exactly what was happening - he'll charge them:
Rince takes a second to look at the screeching freaks, picks the biggest looking one within range and, spurred on buy the encouraging melody of Girst, charges at it, giving vent to a wordless cry of rage (and, perhaps, a small amount of fear).
Attack:(+4,+2 charging,+1 Girst):Charges Goblin (1d20+7=20)Damage:(+2,+1 Girst)1d10+3=4 (Typical !!!)
If Rince still cannot find a target and/or cannot really work out what is going on still his fear and frustration will come to the fore:
"By Deadeye's Bow will someone tell me where they are !?"
Rince steps up onto a table to get a better look at what's going on, trying to spot a worthy opponent. Spot check to find Goblins (1d20+1=17). If he's been successful and he has any time left this round he'll try and get as close to trouble as possible.

Onagella frustrated at her inability to command Sunshine, vents with her axe upon the cornered goblin. With a smooth swing she clefts deep into the pitiful squealing creatures neck, sending it careening to the ground dead.
Tzoltan looks down at the dead goblin, his face conflicted. Onagella is surprised the young man was able to near her without alerting her. She notes the hammer held loosely in his hand as a sign he was probably coming to help her.
Nearby, Vaclav mutters a quick prayer to Erastil and charges one of the two tabletop goblins. The goblin is canny however and hops the strong swing of the man.
Girst goes, then I will resolve Rince's actions. Then goblins . . .if any are left.

The-Last-Rogue's Dungeon Master |

Girst retrieves and loads the crossbow looking up in time to see Rince let out a roar, dash forward and cut a wide gash across a goblin's arm.
The goblin shrieks in pain, but does not relent. It stabs out at Rince with its rusty sword. 1d20+3=9 Rince easily sidesteps the attack, his weapon ready to strike again.
The goblin facing off against Vaclav also howls, not in pain, but in joy as it swings its dogslicer downward from its high vantage on the tabletop. 1d20+3=16; damage 1d4+1=2 The little freak is able to open a small cut across Vaclav's chest. It howls again, a shrieking sound of pleasure.
Marius's go.

Vaclav Rennet |

I'll be on the road for work today. So I'll post now for after Onagella's turn.
Again attacking the goblin. To hit 12 (10+2), dam (3+2) 5. Probalby misses, Not even Girst can sing me through this dance.
Angered by the minor wound, Vaclav sweeps his morning star back and delivers a vertical blow, trying to smash the goblin through the table.
[/ooc]

The-Last-Rogue's Dungeon Master |

Sunshine takes off like a dart and leaps past Rince, latching on to and bringing down the goblin that he had been fighting. There is no doubt that between the vicious cut Rince had given it earlier and Sunshine's bite, this goblin is dead.
Vaclav takes another swing at his goblin, but the little beastie blocks the blow with his dogslicer.
Tzoltan's turn. There is one goblin left, fighting Vaclav. It is about 25 feet away.

Tzoltan Devreen |

"Crikey!" Tzoltan exclaims, stepping out of the way as the powerful dog races past him. He looks over at the remaining combat, still nauseated and uncertain. After a few seconds, he decides to follow the lady dwarf. (He will keep as many competent looking warriors as possible between himself and the goblin, and will move closer due to his curiosity, but will not get within melee range.)

Rince |

With another mighty cry Rince charges the Goblin engaged with Vaclav and takes a wild swing:
Attack:(+4,+2 charging,+1 Girst):Charging Goblin (1d20+7=13)
If that was a hit (Flanking?) Damage:Damage (?) (1d10+3=10)

The-Last-Rogue's Dungeon Master |

No, no flanking. It is on a table and you would not be able to charge from that side.
The big-headed little bugger has an amazing survival instict. It barely sidesteps a vicious swipe from Rince. In return it pokes its sword at Vaclav again. 1d20+3=13. The dogslicer cuts down but not hard enough to shear through Vaclav's armor.
In the distance the singing of goblins mixes with the cackling of flame and the shouts of battle.
Marius's go

Marius Vaca |

Marius curses his luck for not having his crossbow with him. Then with uncharactistic bravery, he moves around the table so the goblin is between him and that other fellow that came close to hitting the goblin. Marius will try to aid him in his attack against the goblin.
Making an aid check to give Rince a +2 to his next attack. d20 - 1 = 14 That should be successful!

Tzoltan Devreen |

Tzoltan continues to build a healthy respect and fear for the lady dwarf's dog. He backs a few steps away, mumbling, "Nice doggy, nice Sunshine. Good dog."
He looks up when he hears more goblin singing, a bit dismayed, but unable to resist getting a closer look to see what's going on. He holds his turn and waits for someone else to head over first, of course. Tzoltan will follow at a more cautious third or fourth back of the crowd.
(Where is the singing coming from? Can he tell approximately where the additional goblins might be? Any other information he can gain by looking in that general direction? Spot = 3, d'oh!

Vaclav Rennet |

Vaclav becomes talkative as the tension of the fight ebbs.
"Onagella, Sunshine, Rince, many thanks. I couldn't hit the jumpy little goober. And you, sir," Vaclav says, advancing on Marius, "what is your name? Challenging the goblin with a kitchen knife. And staying to fight unarmed. You , sir, are a brave man. I wouldn't have done it."
"Onagella, what about that fire? Does anyone see more of the goobers? Is the temple secure?"
He recovers his bow and waits a moment for someone else to speak.

Marius Vaca |

Marius looking at his staff and now realizing what he had just done says, "I was not completely unarmed. My staff does not look like much, but I assure you, it can knock the wind out of something on occasion."
Marius makes a spot check to see if he sees anything burning.
1d20 + 1 = 17
If that is enough to notice the fire's smoke Marius will say, "The town is a blaze, we must fetch water swiftly before most of the town is engulfed like the last time!"

The-Last-Rogue's Dungeon Master |

Everyone gets 15 exp (roleplaying) + 50 exp (goblins) for 65 total
The group discusses the battle and options; Marius points out that the best option at this point would be to get to a well and douse some of these flames. Tzoltan, as a local knows the way, but before he can say anything a huge gout of flame erupts from the south.
A wagon ignites, and 5 goblinoid figures dance around it frantically. It seems the little buggers have gotten thier hands on flasks of oil and are hurtling them at crowds of people and other buildings.
1 of the Goblins seems to be singing in a screechy voice.
They are probably 60 feet to the south of you.
Someone roll initiative for the group. Goblins go on a 6, except the singing goblin who goes on a 23

Rince |

Ok, Here goes initiative:
Marius:Marius Initiative (1d20+2=21)
Valcav:Valcav Initiative (1d20+2=12)
Tzoltan: Tzoltan Initiative (1d20+3=9)
Onagella: Onagella's Initiative (1d20+1=9)
Rince :Rince intiative (1d20=9)
Girst : Girst Initiative (1d20+2=6)
Can I take a moment to formally apologise for my dismal rolling !
Looks like it's Marius up first !

Vaclav Rennet |

No need to apologize, Rince. We're still ahead of the goblin troops. Is there a clear bowshot? Are we still afffected by inspire courage?
I'll be out of touch until at least Monday night. Hopefully the hotel internet will work. If it doesn't might be incommunicado until the end of next week. If I can't post, someone should feel free to play Vaclav. His preference will be to use the bow from 35-40 feet if he has a clear shot. He has his utility spell load so it will probalby be best used for spontaneous cures. Hope to be back in it Monday. --Tom

Marius Vaca |

Marius carrying his staff with him rushes forward 30 ft, and begins to chant and motion with his hands strangely.
Spellcraft check DC 16 to identify the spell as Grease.
Suddenly a 10ft by 10ft area in the center of the 4 goblins becomes covered in grease. DC 15 Ref for 2 of the goblins to remain standing.

Vaclav Rennet |

Vaclav follows the brave caster moving 30'forward (and out to the side a bit so that the others will have a clear path to the gobllins) , drawing an arrow from his quiver as he moves. "Deadeye guide my hand." He stops, draws, and fires an arrow at the front rank of goblins.
6 for the attack roll. He should have been a better boy last night.

The-Last-Rogue's Dungeon Master |

Marius rushes forward and unleashes an incantation. Goblin one -reflex save is 10+1=11, goblin 2 19+1=20 A coating of slick grease coalesces at the goblin's feet; one slips and falls, causing a titter and howling laughter from his comrades. The other keeps his feet.
Vaclav rushes up beside the wizard and unleashes an arrow from his bow. The shot goes wide unfortunately.
Tzoltan's go.

Tzoltan Devreen |

Tzoltan mutters "Cripes" under his breath, wishing he hadn't left his brand spanking new crossbow at home this morning. He moves forward about twenty feet or so, gripping his hammer and looking for any cover or concealment he can find. Anything will do. He'll hide (9+7=16), watching the goblins from his hiding spot, and wait for the situation to develop.

Rince |

Slightly shocked that he's actually survived his first life or death combat Rince decides to rely on the protection of Deadeye again.
He charges the Goblins, aiming for one of the ends of their 'battleline', and tries to decapitate on of them mid snigger !
Charge 60'. Rince Charges ! (1d20+6=17) Damage (1d10+2=12) !!!!
Please tell me that's one dead Goblin !!!!

Vaclav Rennet |

Time turns elastic for Vaclav in the adrenalin induced calm of battle. Everything stretches into slow motion. He sees the brave rush of his new comrades against this new threat. As the shrill-voiced goblin scurries behind its fellows, the courageous spellcaster stepping forward to knock down a goblin with a spell. Vaclav's own arrow flying wide of it's target to strike a signboard further down the street. Tzoltan still hasn't registered as a combatant with Vaclav. Sorry, PbemDM Onagella's and Sunshine's advance. So much more threatening for its deliberate nature. Rince's heroic charge and mighty swing. The singing stranger's prudent selection of weapon. The frenzied movement of the goblins and the frantic efforts of the fallen one to regain its feet.
How long til Girst's inspire courage ends? Hope I haven't overstepped my bounds summarizing the action so far, Rogue.
