Description:

Rince is tall, broad man with a mane of black hair and kind, brown eye's. His skin is bronzed by long hours working in fields and, latterly, walking the roads in search of his 'path'. His Varisian heritage is obvious although his clothes are old, worn and faded.

Background:

Rince's folks are third generation Farmers who settled on estates left abandoned with the collapse of Cheliax. He has 10 siblings, 4 times that number of cousins and second cousins and is uncle to 6 children despite his young age. Despite a suplus of manpower, times in the Farming community he grew up on are hard and being taught what little his Father knew of swordsmanship and being presented with a 'family heirloom', a sword said to have been owned by his grandfather's father, he left home 6 weeks ago to follow his calling - to become a Paladin of Erastil.

6 weeks of trudging later and Rince finally understands that a Paladin needs the one thing he never had on the farm - a sponser. No matter where he went he couldn't find anyone interested in putting him forward as a potential servant of Erastil.

Now, all his money gone, he has arrived in Sandpoint for the Festival, hoping that an opportunity to impress a potential Mentor. However, at the moment he'd be pleased just to earn some gold to send back to his family and buy some descent equipment. Also, his time on the road has been lonely and he's looking forward to meeting new people and perhaps making some new friends.

Personality:

Rince is very outgoing and loves to talk. He has a knack of making people feel good about themselves and usually leaves a good impression. He has simple tastes and is quite earnest in his beliefs and aspirations. He can seem quite naive when dealing with people with a more cosmopolitan background but he is aware of this and can use it to his advantage. There is a hard edge to Rince though, which mostly comes out when dealing with his enemies or those that do wrong generally. He can be very intimidating when he needs to be and has used this more than once to stop trouble before it starts.
