Hi,
I placed an order towards the end of August (as above, #796186). I notice that three items are still stating as being on backorder, but two of those are now listed as current stock in the store ('Don't make me smite you' and 'Tosche Station' t-shirts). As I'm sure you appreciate, the order is somewhat substantial and I'm rather eager to get it moving, so would it be possible, if the aforementioned t-shirts are indeed in stock, to cancel the 'Greedo was framed' t-shirt, which is holding everything up and instead substitute the Order of the Stick book, 'Start of Darkness'. There may be a difference of $3-4, but I have tried to keep things to as near the oiginal order amount as possible.
Thanks.

Hello again. It looks like the 'Don't make me smite you' and 'Tosche Station' t-shirts are still on backorder, although they're not showing as such in the shop. If they are still unavailable, could you do me another favour please and cancel them both? As a substitute, I would like Dragon issues 298, 300, 316, 321 and 322, which are again of similar value. Hopefully that should get things rolling, but if there are any problems, please just let me know.
Thanks vey much,
Ian.

Thanks Cos. I have just replied to you, so you should be getting the e-mail soon. I've pretty much decided to take the opportunity whilst I can and have the magazines, the t-shirts et al. This will save me having to make another order in the near future. It may cost me a bit more now, but it'll save on shipping down the line and make everything worthwhile.
Thanks again for all your help.
Ian.

I got your email and I have added the issues to your order. It should still go out today, or possibly tomorrow.
Thanks!

Hey Cos, just looked at the order history and I think you missed off Dragon #322. Apologies if you're still working through it and it doesn't really matter if it's too late, but might as well go for it if not, eh?
Cheers!

GAH!
Once again, I apologize! I have added the issue to the order and sent you (another) confirmation email. Please review it and make sure everything appears there as it should be and that I have not made (yet another) mistake.
Thanks,

Cosmo, everything looks good now. Thank you very much for sorting everything out for me. You carried everything through from the beginning to the end, regardless of interim changes to the original order and further changes down the line. I really appreciated your communications throughout the process. There were a few problems, as we know, but these were purely of an accidental nature and everything was sorted out to my complete satisfaction within hours. In many ways, these have left me even more impressed, thanks to the superbly professional way in which you hsve handled my order through minor adversity and managed to get everything out on the road as requested. Really, you've done a great job.
I honestly mean that as well, so don't feel shy about showing this to any immediate boss, supervisor, manager, or whoever else you may need to impress for the sake of a raise.

Hello once again Cosmo.
The package arrived today and I am delighted with its contents.
However....
(and you could tell that the "However..." was coming, couldn't you?)
....the last five Dragon issues that I had agreed with you to include were rather conspicuous by their absence.
Everything agreed upon prior to our last round of communication was there, but the later additions of Dragons 298, 300, 316, 321 and 322 were not.
I've got everything that I originally wanted, so I'm not wringing my hands or tearing my hair out in frustration, but I would take it as a favour if you'd be good enough to check and make sure that I haven't been billed for the magazines I didn't receive.
If they have been sent separately, for whatever reason, just let me know and I'll shut up.
Thanks,
Ian.

That sound you're hearing right now? That would be me banging my head on my desk! (j/k)
I will get copies of those issues shipped out to you right away.

Hey, don't worry about it. And don't go damaging your desk either - you might need to be using that for years to come.
Oh, yeah - you probably shouldn't be denting your head either - you might need to use that for even longer.Seriously though, these problems happen - particularly when computer systems (our fallible friends) are relaying messages between departments that are physically dislocated. Things work well most of the time, but if a problem is going to occur, then silicon malice seems to ensure that said problem has to reverberate, spawn and echo around the same case or victim to the embarrassment of all concerned.
I used to get shouted at over the phone for things that computer systems I'd never even seen, let alone touched, had done, so I'm not about to start shouting myself.
Thanks for sorting it all out and cheers for the e-mail - Paizo is still good by me.
Ian.
