Advanced Players Guide from Green Ronin--any good & would it fit with Pathfinder??

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Silver Crusade

Just was overlooking Green Ronin's site last night thanks to covers of various Freeport books done by my fav artist Wayne Reynolds & I got to lookin at the APG from them. I've heard about it before, but never gave it much thought & lately I've been thinkin about just goin OGL with D&D.

So does anyone have a good review of this book? Is it worth the buy & would it work with Pathfinder, would add anything in Pathfinder?

thanks for any help on this one. (anther reason I ask is with the outside source books like Tome of Horror & such being used in Pathfinder & such, might as well get familiar with the other D20 rulebooks that are out there)

btw I've looked at the stuff on Greenronin.com for it

Dark Archive

I had asked a question previously regarding using the Freeport supplement as the Riddleport. Jim Jacobs indicated that they may insert Freeport into the Golarian in some-way-shape-or-form.

As for Freeport - it seems to mesh very easily with the current Varisian stuff.

(I'm a big fan of the Green Ronin material)

ENWorld has a bunch of D&D and D20 reviews, as well as being probably the best D&D/D20 news site on the web. Check 'em out.

I'm treating it as core for my campaign. Clerics can prep spells from there as easily as from the SRD, for example. I like the book quite a bit (though not as much as I like the Advanced Bestiary).

Note that a bunch of it is devoted to mass combat, and while this is great if you're running that it might seem like unnecessary content if you're not.
