I'm about to run a Ptolus campaign, I also have the SCAP hardcover. I am just wondering if there are any chapters that would be easily ported to a different city. I am looking for urban adventures, I really don't want to put my players through the "evil demon has some sort of a plan involving a prophecy campaign again" (we just finished AOW.)
Any good urban plots in SCAP I should take a look at?

SCAP is a GREAT urban campaign, BUT it is centered around an "evil demon prince has gone mad from being imprisoned and wants to use this city as a gateway" arc soooo...you can't get away from that here.
But Ptolus seems to have much more in-depth coverage of the different factions and power groups in play in a sprawling city and although I haven't read all the way through the campaign, it seems well thought out.The other resource I've been digging around in is Cadwallon from Rackham. Very nice city setting that is worth a look.

The chapter which deals with Cauldron suffering an earthquake is an awesome set of scenarios that is uniquely urban. Although I don't expect to see lava in Ptolus, you can use the adventure as a guide to set up a series of rescue scenarios strung together to reflect a natural/supernatural disaster affecting the city. And the need for heroes in this desperate time to help those who desperately need it and take charge of the chaotic situation.
In addition, a natural disaster tends to throw a monkey wrench in everyone's well-oiled political machinations. Some well hidden secrets are revealed. Some well placed individuals are killed. The mighty fall, the clever take advantage of this opportunity to rise.
