Quasit gamely squeezes her eyes shut and grits her teeth as the barbs of the arrows tear free of her flesh, little tears of pain dripping from the corners of her eyes before the healing magic balms the wounds. Then she relaxes and takes a deep breath, psyching herself up for another go.

Sakitu starts to follow Quasit as she escapes from the line of fire but seeing Selena go with her, she pauses. It will be better to get rid of all these archers. Selena can fix Quasit. And, truth be told, Sakitu can't do much to help with healing anyway.

She relaxes. ”Good job guys. We’ll give Fin a couple minutes to collect arrows. I guess it’s safe to assume we aren’t sneaking up on anyone at this point.”. She notices Air Kal swirling and revolving quietly overhead. ”Kal? You ok?
She glances around at the obvious exits to the north. ”Well, a single door and a double door. I’m betting our Queen would be behind double doors.”
She makes her way over to the double doors to evaluate them.

"Perhaps I will have to come back as a woman," he adds to the conversation. "I'll be as furry as Sakitu is."

There used to be a massive stained glass window in the southeastern wall, but it's been shattered at some point, leaving the balcony and some of the floor littered with shards of colorful glass. Other than that, and the remains of your foes, the room seems empty. Neither door out of it is trapped or locked so far as Quasit can determine.

Suddenly every cat she'd stroked and every dog she'd scritched comes before her mind's eye to accuse her of deviancy.
Nevar hadn't been furry. OK, a little hairy but nothing weird. Billy Shine had been pretty smooth actually. Was it a recent thing? The satyr! Had he...? No, she'd thought Saki was an amazing fox lady from well before that. This was troubling. Oh no, she'd gone through a pony phase as a girl too! She imagines Kalchine turning into a stallion and rearing over her and her breath catches...
This was all Selena's fault for bringing it up, the little snot.
Deeply troubled now, she looks back at the others to make sure they're ready. "Looks like the door's safe. Here we go."
She pushes the double doors open and steps through.

Finely carved arches support a high ceiling in this vestibule. Three small iron mesh cages filled with buzzing insects with glowing red eyes hang from these arches. On the ground, a number of vaguely humanoid blobs of slime crawl about, though they all turn to the door as it opens. You get a brief sight of a fiendish-looking red-skinned being before they vanish in a cloud of fog that fills half the room.

You can still reach, unless you and your weapons are particularly short. Remember how tall you are and how long your arms and weapons are. A 5’ person can reach approximately another two feet, leaving only 3 feet between hands and the target’s feet. Your short sword, more appropriately known as an arming sword because DnD doesn’t know proper blade names, can reach with a lunge. You also have a grappling hook, and now is a good chance to put it to use.

Technically there's probably some issue with shooting arrows into the Kal-whirlwind, but given how few HP the enemy has left...
Fin's arrows finish off the red-skinned creature, after which it's easy to mop up the hellish insects she'd unleashed.

Quasit reappears. ”Wow, that went faster than I expected. I don’t suppose she was Breganyr? No crown so probably not.”. She stamps on a gooey little devil, and it smooshes with a pathetic squeak. ”Charming company she keeps.”
She looks about and spots another set of double doors and goes to investigate them.

Kalchine concentrates and coalesces, not to his fully solid form but rather to the more coherent windy elemental shape.
He can't get to either of his healing wands (he can feel which strands of wind they are but they're in no shape to do anything, at the moment,) so he casts one of his healing spells. The air around him gets thinner as he draws some of it in and adds it to his mass to replace what was frozen out.

”Well, let’s get this door open see what we’re dealing with.” answers Quasit as she runs a finger along the seam between the two doors. She pauses for a moment, then looks back at Maka. ”There’s something odd about all this. I can’t quite put my finger on it. No doubt she’ll just be another undead abomination when we get to her, but I feel like we don’t have the whole story about this set-up. There might end up being another side to this.” She thinks again, them shrugs and looks away. ”I dunno. Maybe I’m overthinking.”

The door doesn't seem to be locked or trapped. There doesn't seem to be much of interest in the room, other than maybe your slain foe's trident.

Sakitu helps Fin recover some of his arrows. Most of the ones she finds are broken but she hands them over anyway. Maybe there is something he can do to fix them.
"Fin, do you think we're actually close to finding this evil lady and ending all this?" She speaks softly. "I just want it to be done. I want to go back home." She turns her gaze up to Fin to make eye contact. "I want to take you home and you can meet my parents."
She steps closer to Fin and wraps him in a big hug then lets him go. "Look. It looks like Quasit is eager to finish too. She's already heading to the next area."
She makes her way carefully across the floor to stand right behind Quasit.
