One of my players plans on playing a cleric of Asmodeous and wants to take the prestige class in book of vile darkness with the character. Looking it over, I noticed that it requires that you take disciple of darkness to take the class. I want to change this to something else along the same lines, due to the fact in my opinion being a cleric of Asmodeous already binds you to him.
What suggestions of a feat do you have to replace it. I have Green Ronin's big collection of demons/daemons/devils but haven't looked it over due to being at work.
Thanks for info.

I would suggest not Disciple of Darkness then, but something similar to the Lamashtu feat in the first Pathfinder. You could think of it not as necessarily 'binding' your character to Asmodeus more, but as making him a more 'perfect' servant in Asmodeus' eyes. I'd have to think about what the particulars of the feat would be; off the top of my head without any consideration for balance, maybe the meat could be something like:
Mark of Asmodeus
Prerequisites: Cha 13, Patron Deity Asmodeus
A black crownlike shape appears high on your brow, circling back beneath your hair.
You gain a +2 bonus to Diplomacy checks for evil creatures, and a -2 penalty to Diplomacy checks for good creatures, if the mark is uncovered. It can be covered with a hood (which hides the face as well), a circlet, a helmet, a headband, or the like.
Once a day, you get +5 bonus on any one Bluff check to overcome an opponent's Sense Motive check.
Just a thought.
