Hey all. Question about Prismatic Burst weapon ability in the Magic Item Compendium. I don't have that book but a player wants to add the special ability to a weapon, and I'm usually game with adding stuff as long as it's in a wizards book. He says that the book doesn' list an equivelant "plus bonus" for the weapon. Is this right? How can a weapon ability that adds a critical effect and also has the ability to critical creatures not subject to critical hits, (according to my player). Any thoughts on this would be helpful. Thanks.
The ability costs 30,000 gp and doesn't have a bonus equivilency because all it really does it cast a spell when a crit is confirmed. It doesn't let you crit creatures immune to crits, but it does cast the spell on them.
For example if you attack a zombie with and roll a crit, the zombie takes standard weapon damage and is subject to a prismatic spray.
