Savage Fever Question

Savage Tide Adventure Path

Hey all,

Can a PC be affected by Savage Fever more than once a day.

For instance he get bitten by a Savage Monkey and get's the fever. -1d6 INT.

Later he's bitten by a Savage Pirate, can he be infected again or is he immune to furthure effects of the Savage Fever till the next day? when he makes a Fort save against the disease or takes another -1d6 INT?

Thanks,

Shade325

Once you have contracted a disease I do not believe you can contract it again. Until you recover from the disease, that is.

"I got mummy rot AGAIN?!"

That would have been good to know. Boy that was a "Duha" momment.

I thought you could get infected again, like getting injected with poison again.

Soo, feeling that a character struck twice in a day could go savage was unfare, I decided lesser restoration could gain back a lose INT. But remove curse would be needed to cure the disease.

But it all makes since now. You can't get infected twice. So the chance of a character going savage while assaulting Karaken's cove is much less than I first thought. Of course that chance still exists if the 1/2 orc barbarian/ fighter has only a 6 INT.

That was a mistake, but it worked for us.

With Savage Fever, the save DC varies depending on who you got it from. (Yes, its weird that way). So, if you are infected by several creatures, I guess you use the highest Save DC for later checks.

Other than that, it shouldn't matter if you get infected once or a hundred times.
