Hi, I'm a little confused as to why I'm being charged already for Pathfinder. I believed I was going to get 3 free issues from my Dragon/Dungeon transition before being charged. However, I just checked bank statements and saw I was being charged. Is it because I changed my payment method and used a different credit card for the ongoing subscription? Thanks for any help.

When you place an order for an ongoing subscription, we authorize (but do not charge) your card for a single issue. An authorization is a non-monetary transaction that merely checks with your bank to ensure that the card is valid.
I've verified that you are indeed set to get three volumes of Pathfinder free, and we'll begin charging your card only when we ship out Pathfinder 4.

As I recall we will receive an E mail notification before the actual billing goes threw my account. Am I correct in this?
Right now the plan is:
A week or so before we're going to start shipping, we'll send you an email so you know we're going to be charging your credit card.
A few days before we start shipping, we'll authorize a charge against your credit card. If that authorization fails (expired card, etc.), you'll get an email notifying you and giving you suggestions as to how to fix the problem. (The suggestions vary depending on the type of failure.) Note, at this point your card has not yet been charged -- we're just making sure you have the money available.
Then we start shipping. This will take a few days since we'll be processing thousands of shipments, which is a wee bit more than we normally handle on a daily basis. When your volume ships, we charge your card (and send another email if the actual charge fails). If the charge succeeds, we ship your package, add the PDF to your My Downloads page and send you an email telling you this. So you'll get to download and read the PDF before you even get your printed copy delivered.
Non-subscribers won't be able to purchase the PDF until the "street date" for that volume, which is the day we expect copies to be available in stores.

Heh. OK, so the plan isn't quite working out. Mostly due to the fact that we want people to be able to combine their GameMastery modules and Pathfinder subscriptions to save on shipping. And that code isn't finished yet. And Pathfinder #1 and module D2 are set to start shipping next week. Soooo. The new plan:
A week or so before we're going to start shipping, we'll send you an email so you know we're going to be charging your credit card. We won't be doing this step for Pathfinder #1.
