I was wondering when does a shipping change take effect?
My last order (for D0: Hollow's Last Hope) arrived folded in half and stuffed into my tiny mailbox. The Post Office was at best indifferent to my complaint pointing out that the cardboard envelope did not say "do not bend" upon it. Anyway, I decided to be safe and I would change my shipping address to my work address instead. In the mean time I had already received notice that my order for W1 was almost ready.
I have since changed my shipping address (2 days before I received my shipping notification) and now I received notification that my order for W1 has shipped... to my old shipping address!
So was I too late to change the shipping address or what?

We're right in the middle of revising all our subscription code right now. Your subscription got processed Friday the 27th and the address was set at that point. You should have received an email saying "thanks for your order".
(In the future those emails will be a bit friendlier. They'll say something like "In the next week or so, we're expecting to ship GameMastery Module D2: Seven Swords of Sin (OGL), the next module of your subscription. When it ships, we'll be charging a total of $xxx to your credit card. When we charge your card, you'll be given access to a free PDF edition of the product, and we'll also send a confirmation email to let you know that it has shipped. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.")
I am adding to my to-do list a new item: "Changing the address on a subscription should change the address on all unfulfilled generated orders." When I mark that off my list, you'll be able to change your address right up to the point where you get the "is shipping from our warehouse" email.

And this reminded me to add another item to my to-do list: "changing address on subscription should prompt for all unfulfilled orders". ie, if you have other orders which haven't yet shipped which are going to the same address, you should get prompted as to whether you want those orders to go to the new address too.
This is lower in priority on my to-do list than the previous item, so I have no idea when I'll be able to get to it. (It's also harder to do, since it involves creating new user interface elements, whereas the previous one can be totally automagic behind the scenes.)

I am not overly concerned about it I was more just curious and figured it was something like that as you outlined.

W1 is twice as thick as D0, so he'll at least have to work harder to mangle it.
