Anybody look at the eyes on this elf (or half elf, i forget) rogue? She has the black-ish eyes of those grey aliens you see on the UFO shows >.> whats up with that? Just wayne's choice? Or could it point to something else like a possible fiendish heritage? Or do elves in this world have big ol eyes like that?

It's very likely going to be the look for elves in our world... up close, elf eyes don't really have "whites" to them; they're just one color. I think. It's not something we've completely nailed down yet... but I kind of like elves with no whites in their eyes.

All pupil & iris or almost so. I thought thats how it looked in the pencil sketch. It really seems to give them an otherwordly or all-seeing quality.

Yeah. They gain bonuses to Listen, Search, AND Spot. Their ears already look the part... it's cool that their eyes do too now.
It kinda makes sense. It'd be neat if somewhere in the flavor text they indicated that elves have the 'lens flare' that cats and other low-light vision animals have...
...just like Riddick in "Pitch Black." :D

It's too bad that my gaming group back home (apparantly) disagrees; I tried to get "eye shine" in an Eberron campaign by having a back alley healer transplant my eyes with the eyes of a dark seeing race... got shot down ;_;

Well, I can understand that. Occular transplants seem to be well outside the 'fantasy' archetype and into the 'science-fiction' realm. Now, if you had gotten yourself a potion of darkvision or something and it had the effect of giving you 'eye shine,' that would make perfect sense.
