IF they decide to follow the hint up and go to red shroud, the problems have only just begun.
Seeing that Nalfenshe guarding the door.. chances are it will be a quick "open it up demonboy or else.. we have walked all over a dozen of your kind already, and you dont even look all that tough for your version of demonkind", meaning no entry.
Or if they actually manage to keep their tongue, theres no way theyll shell out 10k just for saying hi.. which means she will ask them to leave, which in turn will mean a fight.
Either way Broken Reach is headed for genocide..
Yes technically the payment is no more than 40 larvae (and they should have 70.000 in storage), but to hand out for just the pleasure of having a chat? No way..
That she is set to flee makes things no better, they will hunt her down.. even if that means slaying EVERYTHING.. all 1000+ demons..
Yeah, the plan is to simulcra the remains and learn the secrets.
Anyway, a bit dissapointed there were no stats for ahazu, since soon after having both 9th level spells and the tooth, a simulcra of him is to be expected.. same with shami ofcourse.
Which means theres still a good chance of getting their hands upon the demonomicon.. the simulcras should know its there ;)
Oh yeah and i love those hivemind medallions.. and someone who picks up dark speech will love them even more.. no doubt setting up their very own hivemind soon enough..

If PCs went through "Into the Maw," then "Wells of Darkness" should be no problem.
The monsters are a lot stronger in the first abyss adventure. The Wardens are tough and they often have back up. Also, they're built better than many of the encounters in "Wells." Red Shroud may have a really high charisma but her spell selection is not too good. As I read through Wells I wondered if it should actually be run before "Into the Maw" because the difficulty level is not as high.

You are quite right about that, this one is in many ways much easier... except for that last fight.. with enviorment problems and everything.. well, there should be some help available, but still.. i can easily see the last battle being pure TPK.. lol
A quick stonewall might save the day, followed by a teleport.. but better think fast and have those spells..
