IT Administrator. :)

I thought it would be Quality Control in a Cookie Factory, but I guess this is cool too. Congrats!

Liberty's Edge

I've got mad rogue skills.

After getting fifty cents stuck in the coin slot of a vending machine, I noticed the the same thing had happened to a bunch of other people--the slot was absolutely full of change. Using a bent piece of wire, I retrieved my fifty cents, plus an additional two dollars and twenty-five cents over the course of fifteen minutes.

It may be cheap and petty, but it sorta made my day.

Hurrah! Uh, I mean :ohnoes:, what will Bend do without its most famous superheroes, Cookie Witch-Queen and Captain Fix IT? ;)

Still, Portland's gain. I take it you mean Portland, Orgeon, not Portland, southern England?

Got me a job.

Congrats! Whatcha get?

The city will have to unearth new superheroes for a new age! *strikes a heroic pose*

Yeah, I mean Oregon, not the UK. :)

Good job, Lil! I am now completely confident in saying that at least there is one amazing person going to be living in Oregon.

That sounds like something they would do, just to spite me. Don't worry, though - I will be good support.

Now how is this game played, again?

Well, there's this ball. I think it's made from the skin of a pig's foot. And these large dudes wearing pads and helmet's throw it around at each other. And these other guys who dress like zebras act like DM's.

I could honestly see you doing this, although I think your version would end in violence.

Maybe this is more "interesting" than "good". My aunt has become a fan of family history in the last couple of years.
She discovered on the weekend that one of our ancestors was a squire to Henry VII (Henry Tudor)!

Nah, it's good. I've been doing the geneaology thing for years now. It's good to know your roots. ;)

According to the court propagandists of the Tudors...

A great historical novel about Richard III and Edward IV is The Sunne In Splendor by Sharon Penman. Read it!!

I'm distantly related to Aaron Burr, who shot Alexander Hamilton in a duel over Hamilton's slanderous words about Burr's relationship to his daughter. I actually have a long pedigree of 19th and 20th century criminals and undesirables in my family bloodline.

Yes. Let all you Lancastrians read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest this.

I'm also related (through my paternal great-grandparents) to a bunch of particularly vicious Irish mobsters that operate out of the Greenwood Lake area in downstate New York.

The (UK) Royal Mail and Spanish postal service really excelled themselves. I posted something at 4.30 pm on Tuesday to Barcelona, and received feedback from the recipient by lunchtime today. Talk about speedy!

It's blocked at work, which is probably just as well... I'd probably spend the rest of the afternoon on it.

Amazing coincidence. I tried calling a friend earlier today, but didn't leave a message. An hour or two later the friend calls me saying that we've not spoken for a while, and didn't know that I'd called earlier!

My girlfriend finally got to do the voice-over work that she wanted. It's just a commercial, but she's getting paid more than what she makes in a day waitressing, so it's all good.

The commercial.

Congrats to your girlfriend! I hope she gets more voice-over work.

She does need to work on her "test pattern" imitation, though. :)

Congratz, Dave. Oh, we need to get together for lunch before you leave, so that way you can tell everyone what a SOB I really am. After all, ask Moorluck, Solnes, or TriOmegaZero. They can tell you the truth about me. ~GRINS~

For a trial period, I will be on the 1 pm to 9 pm shift instead of the 4 pm to midnight shift. YAY!!!
